I recently decided to build my first pc and I bought an i5 10th Gen. When I opened the package I found and was about to place it in the LGA 1200 socket I noticed that the chipsets didn’t match. Luckily I had done a lot of research ahead of time and new what it was supposed to look like and so I didn’t attempt to force the cpu into the motherboard.
