MSI MEG And MPG Z490 Motherboards Seem To Be Very Expensive Indeed

Z490 motherboards for the upcoming Intel CPUs have been leaked and here we have some retail prices for the MSI Z490 motherboards that include MEG, MPG and MAG models. From what we see here, these motherboards could be very expensive indeed.

Do take these prices with a grain of salt as they are not confirmed. These could be inflated prices and it is not the first time that we are seeing inflated numbers when it comes to tech products. The following are the prices for the different MSI MEG and MPG Z490 Motherboards:

While these numbers are not confirmed, it is interesting to note that the MSI MEG Z390 GODLIKE costs $698 on Amazon right now. The MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE on the other hand, costs $720 on Amazon right now. These motherboards might be old but they are still a lot cheaper than the prices that we see here.

Price hikes of up to 60% have already been reported for Gigabyte and MSI motherboards so they could be around the same price point when they come out. Right now, all we can do is wait and see what kind of performance the upcoming Intel chips are going to offer and how much these upcoming supporting Z490 motherboards are going to cost.

Note that if you are not interested in overclocking then you do not need a Z490 motherboard. Cheaper motherboards are going to be released down the line but you might need to wait a couple of months if not weeks before that happens.
