The Jetpack is an extremely useful tool that allows you to easily navigate the world of Slime Rancher 2, but it can be tricky to obtain. Rainbow Island’s hidden resources are primarily located in elevated places, which Beatrix cannot reach without the Jetpack.
The Jetpack in Slime Rancher 2 is waiting for you at the underground lab, which is located under the Conservatory. To find this entry, go to the left of Plort Marketplace. Then, look for the Fabricator (it’s a bench-like device), and it will reveal what adventurers need to do next to procure the Jetpack Upgrade:
- 450x Newbucks
- 10x Phosphor Plorts
- 10x Radiant Ore
Newbucks: In Slime Rancher 2, Newbucks is the main currency. With a little effort, earning 450 Newbucks shouldn’t be difficult because there are two commodities in the game that can bring in bigger profits: Cotton and Tabby Plorts.
Phosphor Plorts: The only way to obtain Phosphor Plorts is from Phosphor Slimes. Head over to the Rainbow Field and wait until nighttime, as that’s when they come out in search of food. When hunting for Phosphor Slimes, make sure to bring Pogofruits and Cuberries as they love them. For safety purposes, it’s important your base must have a Solar Shield so that the slimes won’t dissolve under sunlight.
Radiant Ore: The first two resources are easy to get, but the third one will be like dodging a bullet. To get Radiant Ore, you must travel to a totally different location, Ember Vally. As you walk towards the valley, you’ll notice rocks block your path. You’ll need to feed the Pink Gordo to make it explode and clear the way so that you can reveal the geyser. Geyser will show you where Radian Ore is located. Once inside Ember Valley, collect the last item and receive your Jetpack reward.
