- Open Settings.
- Go on and click the Update & Security option in the menu that appears and navigate to the Troubleshoot tab.
- You should see an Additional Troubleshooter option highlighted in blue.
- Go on and click the Windows Update option and click Run The Troubleshooter.
- The troubleshooter should automatically solve your issue when it is done. Check if the error is fixed.
Fix# 2: Uninstall Windows Mixed Reality
Windows Mixed Reality utility enhances the VR and AR experience you can have on your device. Many people have reported that this causes huge issues for their systems, so it’s best to uninstall it if you don’t use VR and AR devices. This is how to get rid of this utility:
- Disconnect all headsets from your computer.
- Open the Settings.
- Hit the Mixed Reality option and go to the Uninstall tab.
- Uninstall the utility and restart your system.
- Check if you have fixed the issue at hand.
Fix# 3: Clean Boot
If all the other options did not work as planned, the third-party interference that is messing up your system is something we haven’t unraveled yet. The best option in this case is to do a clean boot. To do so, follow these steps:
- Press Win+R.
- Search msconfig in it.
- Go to the selective startup section of the general tab and select it. Then check the load startups option.
- Go into the services tab and select hide all Microsoft services.
- Now press disable all and press ok.
- Go to the startup section of the task manager and disable all the enabled options that meet your eyes.
- Now restart your device.
