God of War: Ragnarok has a lot of different Favors (side quests) that you can complete. They are usually not too difficult but grant some nice rewards and often have an interesting story attached to them. One of these side quests is called Path of Destruction, and it tasks you with finding and slaying a giant drake. In this guide, I’ll show you how to complete the Path of Destruction Favor in God of War: Ragnarok.

After you complete the quest “Return of the River,” follow the giant footprints through a hole in the wall to enter the Jungle of Vanaheim. When you step into the jungle, the “Path of Destruction” will start. When you arrive at the bridge, you’ll see that the ogres are waiting for you. You will need to encounter him in order to cross the bridge.

The first thing you need to do is follow the footprints left behind by the drake. These are easy to spot, as they’re quite large. Just hop down until you reach the middle.

The next thing you need to do is lure the drake out of its hiding spot. To finish this job, you must have the wall up, then hurl the ax at the thing twirling around and then freeze the gear before it starts moving again. You will find Rune Readon on the next wall and a Legendary Chest containing Yggdrasil Jewel.

After you climb the wall, freezing the process again, go outside and use the platform to lure Gallons. As soon as Axe is within reach, release it, so he gets trapped inside. Luring Gulon closer by pulling on the chain will bring it up to where drake lives. Make your way back to the drakes by taking the left path. Once you arrive, Slag Horn will be waiting for you.

All three, the Slag Horn, Gravel Belly, and Crag Jaw, will all play similarly. The main difference between Slag Horn and the other two drakes is that he has more health. Follow are the attacks used by Slag Horn.”

  • Swipes
  • Bites
  • Block Break Tail whips
  • Charge Attack
  • Slamming

All of Slag Horn’s attacks deal a large amount of damage, but they also take time to charge up. Therefore you can easily dodge all attacks. The most dangerous attack is the slam; be sure to jump to the side and avoid taking serious damage.

As Slag Horn’s health is depleted to half, the attack will be double, so you need to be much more careful. When you see the drake doing its signature, jump toward the side; otherwise, you will receive a huge amount of damage. Use upgraded Permafrost or Maelstrom against the drake to take him down and finish the “Path of Destruction”.

The Frozen Flame is a powerful and rare resource that can be used to upgrade the Leviathan Axe. It is also required to complete certain story quests and favors and beat certain bosses. In this guide, I’ll tell you the locations of Frozen Flames in God of War: Ragnarok.

Since the Frozen Flames are scattered all over the game, it’s hard to get them. However, below I’ve mentioned the exact locations of the Frozen Flame:

Frozen Flame #1
The “The Huntress” is the mini-bosses in the starting mission Midgard. Once you take her down, she will drop the Frozen Flame.

Frozen Flame #2
The “Groa’s Secret” mission requires you to Alva in the Alfheim realm. Once you take her down, she will drop the Frozen Flame.

Frozen Flame #3
You need to free up Freya from Midgard during the “The Reckoning” quest in the Vanaheim realm. Pick the Amulet of the Freya, and inside it, you will find the Frozen Flame.

Frozen Flame #4
The first Hel-Traveller you encounter during the Reunion mission is a tough enemy with a giant sword. Once you take him down, he will drop the Frozen Flame.

Frozen Flame #5
You will go to Muspelheim during the main mission, “The Summoning,” and encounter the Flame Phantom. Once you take him down, he will drop the Frozen Flame.

Frozen Flame #6
During the last third of the main story, you will return to Vanaheim after Birgir’s sacrifice. The “Scent of Survival” favor will begin as soon as you arrive. The next side quest, “For Vanaheim, “will become available upon completing this favor. During this quest, you will encounter “The Crimson Dread.” Defeat it to obtain a Frozen Flame.

These are all the locations where you can find the Frozen Flame in God of War: Ragnarok. You can also check out our detailed God of War: Ragnarok wiki page for more tips and strategies.

The Steinbjorn Armor Set is an excellent, hidden set of armor in God of War: Ragnarok that provides Kratos with a big boost to his defensive stats and health restoration. In addition, adding this armor to your arsenal gives you a better chance to stun & stagger foes. In this guide, I’ll tell you how to get the Steinbjorn Armor Set in God of War: Ragnarok.

There are some perquisites that you need to fulfill before unlocking the Steinbjorn Armor Set:

  • Active Mystical Heirloom Relic
  • Defeat 4 Hidden Troll Statues
  • Crafting Steinbjorn Armor Set

After you finish the Draupnir Spear, Main Mission 10’s story will unlock. Take the Spear and go to Midgard’s “Lake of Nine.” You’ll notice a glowing yellow ice block on the lake’s south side coming your way. Use Spear to explode the frozen block. The Mystical Heirloom is behind the rubble, covered in snow. Equip the Mystical Heirloom from your set of weapons next. Together hold down “L1” and push “O” so that you can activate Troll Statues.

Defeat 4 Hidden Troll Statues

After you find a troll statue and use the Mystical Heirloom on it, four bosses will appear. They each drop a Slumber Stone, which is necessary for crafting the armor set. Below I’ve mentioned the locations of all Troll Statues:

Troll Statue #1
You will find the first Troll Statue in Midgard (The Derelict Outpost).

Troll Statues #2 and #3
The second and third Troll Statues are both situated in Vanaheim (Noatun’s Garden). Since this spot is across a river, you’ll need to use the boat over, and it’s only accessible during daylight hours.

Troll Statue #4
To find the fourth and final Troll Statue, you must head to Alfheim (The Forbidden Sands).

Crafting Steinbjorn Armor Set

After you beat the Trolls’ bosses, you’ll receive four Slumber Stones as a reward. Take them to the blacksmith so they can forge the Steinbjorn Armor Set for you. And don’t forget to grab the blue chest while you’re there!

This is how you can get the Steinbjorn Armor Set in God of War: Ragnarok. For more tips and strategies, be sure to check out our detailed God of War: Ragnarok wiki page.

The much-anticipated God of War: Ragnarok is finally here! The newest addition to the God of War family was launched on November 9, 2022. God of War: Ragnarok introduces whole new realms (Svartalfheim, Vanaheim, Asgard), new combat mechanics (Grapple, Combo Finishers, Pre-Fall Attacks), and much more.

The Ragnarok has the longest 20 hours plus story mode in the series and is filled with new things to discover. Even if you’re a veteran who’s played for hours, you might still be confused about whether your progress will transfer into a New Game Plus that you can use in your next quest via trials of Fimbulwinter. In this guide, all your doubts and confusion about the New Game Plus in God of War: Ragnarok will dissipate.

As of right now, God of War: Ragnarok does not offer a New Game Plus mode. You cannot transfer any of your progress, items, armor, etc., from one playthrough to another. Therefore, if you want to play the game again, you have to start from scratch with a new save file. This is a bummer for those who want to try out different gameplay styles or build their characters differently in their second playthroughs. However, it’s still early days, and we might see a New Game Plus mode come out in future updates or DLCs.

Are you looking forward to having a NG+ mode in God of War: Ragnarok. Be sure to let us know in the comments down below!

God of War: Ragnarok isn’t only about beating up bad guys, you also need to explore. In addition to the main storyline, there are side quests called “Favors” that let you access new areas which were previously unavailable. By exploring the newly unlocked regions, you will find new collectibles. One collectible that you will find is Relics of the Gods. The majority of the Relics boost Kratos and Atreus’ combat stats. But Mystical Heirloom is different; it’s something else entirely! In this guide, I’ll show you how to unlock the Mystical Heirloom in God of War: Ragnarok.

The Mystical Heirloom is a special Relic that, when equipped and activated, gives you access to the four Trolls Statues. These statues come back to life and must be defeated in order to unlock the Steinbjorn Armor Set.

The Mystical Heirloom is only available after you finish the main story mission, “Forging Destiny.” You’ll need a Spear to find Relics during your journey, and finishing this mission is the only way to get one. Go to Midgard and find Tyr’s temple. Once you’re there, go to the south side of the building. Use your spear on the wall that looks like it would be easy to destroy. Behind that wall, you’ll find the Mystical Heirloom.

This is all we have got in how to unlock the Mystical Heirloom in God of War: Ragnarok. For more tips and strategies, you can check out our detailed God of War: Ragnarok wiki page.

God of War: Ragnarok is launched on 9 November and is available on PS4 and PS5: God of War: Ragnarok is an upcoming action-adventure game developed. The game features tougher enemies than before, so you’ll need to use every advantage at your disposal. One of the best ways to make yourself more powerful is to upgrade your Heavy Runic Attacks. In this guide, I’ll tell you how to upgrade Heavy Runic Attacks in God of War: Ragnarok.

God of War: Ragnarok has many weapons that can be used however you want. Runic attacks are booster items that can be used with any weapon to make them more powerful during challenging battles.

If you’re a fan of the God of War game series, then you’ll probably know that Ragnarok has inherited quite a few features from its predecessors, including special skills that can be attached to your favorite weapon. Therefore the same goes for the Runic attacks, as they have both light and heavy versions:

  • Light Runic Attacks: You don’t have to do anything special to unlock light runic attacks- they are automatically available to you as you play the main storyline.
  • Heavy Runic Attacks: You need to unlock Heavy Runic Attacks so that you can use them.

Upgrading Heavy Runic Attacks:

You can only upgrade your Heavy Runic Attack ability if you have enough EXP. To check if you do, open the tab at the bottom and look for the ‘equip’ option next to Heavy Runic Attack. If it’s available, press the ‘upgrade’ button below it.

Heavy Runic Attacks are essential for battle and can be found as rewards for completing certain boss fights or from Legendary Chests located throughout the map.

During the main Story Mission, “The Quest for Tyr,” you come across the Mine Puzzle in the God of War: Ragnarok. Kratos and Atreus discover a mineshaft with manmade waterways while exploring Svartalfheim. The task here is to cross the opening; you’ll need to use the crank to turn it. So if you’re stuck on the Mine puzzle in God of War: Ragnarok, don’t worry- I’ve got you covered!

In the Mine Puzzle, some pathways need to be blocked while others should be left frozen. Although it might appear to be complicated, it’s really not. Time is of the essence, so without further ado, take out the frozen ax. You’ll need to throw the ax at precisely the moment right before the water wheel on the Eastern side. As a result, the platform will move to the right side, and Atreus will have the chance to arrange rocks in a way that blocks the water path. Repeat this process on the other water path so that Atreus can reach the end by throwing rocks.

When you look at the Eastside, you will notice the water is pushing the water wheel, which you need to stop by freezing the water. As a result, the platform will move towards the west side to collect water from another source. Once you have done this, call out the Atreus for pushing the water wheel and blocking way rocks.

After you observe the water will be pushing east, you need to freeze the water to instantly halt it. Doing so will then move the platform towards Atreus on the other side. He is your companion who assists with tasks such as these, including pushing boulders that are blocking your path. In order to progress south, you need to use the ax to the frozen water and turn the wheel. After you’ve made it across, have Atreus shoot the rocks to unblock the water path. As a result, the platform will be clear, and you can reach your destination.

This is how you can easily solve the Mine Puzzle in God of War: Ragnarok. For more tips and strategies, you can check out our detailed God of War: Ragnarok wiki page.

It’s always important to have better gear in any game, but it’s especially important in God of War: Ragnarok. This is because the game is extremely challenging and difficult, and you need all the help you can get. One of the best ways to get better gear is by finding Folkvangr Whetstones in God of War: Ragnarok. These items are scattered around the game world and can be found by exploring. They give you a significant boost to weapons, so they’re definitely worth seeking out. In this guide, I’ll tell you how to get Folkvangr Whetstone in God of War: Ragnarok.

The Folkvangr Whetstones light upgrades will be useful to you until you finish the game, but they are available in the middle of gameplay. If you complete the main story mission, “Forging Destiny,” you will come across a Legendary Chest. After opening this chest, you’ll receive the Folkvangr Whetstones as a reward. You can also get these whetstones by completing side quests like Favors. Even in some cases defeating enemies will earn you the upgrades.

The next step after you get the Folkvangr Whetstone is to take it to Brok and Sindri’s shop. You can exchange the Folkvangr Whetstone for one of Freya’s swords. Since only one stone is needed per level of the sword, they are quite rare items.

While playing the God of War Ragnarok, To access the jungle area in the crater for which you must first complete the “Scent of Survival” Favor mission. In this guide, I’ll tell you how you can reach the jungle in God of War: Ragnarok.

From the gateway, climb up the wall on the north side. Then turn left and drop down the wall between two pillars.

Once you enter the gateway, there will be a wall to your left that you’ll need to climb. The next step is to take a sharp left turn and go in between the pillars. Take a left turn, and you will see the rock. There is a branch you can use as a bridge to get to the opposite side, so jump on it and climb up the wall.

Make a left turn so that you can see a small puddle of water and, after it, the Celestrial Altar. In order to reach the small tunnel on the left, you will need to take a right from the puddle.

From the Celestrial Altar, climb down and head east. Then take a right, and continue climbing up the wall until you reach a cave with another cave behind it. For this next part, make sure to stay close to the right wall so that you don’t lose your way.

Essentially, what you want to do is continue making your way through the cave until you reach a point where there’s a gap in the floor that’s too big to jump over. Climb the left wall to reach the other side. You will find a hole in the left wall– pass through it to enter and unlock the jungle.

The Blades of Chaos was originally from the predecessor in the God of War series. The requirement for upgrading this weapon is to find the Chaos Flames, which are scattered in the Nine Realms. Below I’ve mentioned some of the locations where you will find the Chaos Flames:

Chaos Flame #1
The first Chaos Flame is obtained by defeating the Dreki in Svartlefheim during the “Tyr” quest.

Chaos Flame #2
The second Chaos Flame is obtained by defeating the Forest Ancient in Vanaheim during the “The Reckoning” quest.

Chaos Flame #3
The third Chaos Flame is obtained by defeating the Frost Phantom in Midgard during the “Creatures of Prophecy” quest.
