Yesterday’s Inside Xbox event was very interesting indeed. While there is plenty of disappointment over the Assassins Creed trailer, there are a few points that you might have missed. Scorn and The Medium were two new games that were shown off at the event and they are exclusive to Xbox Series X.
The event was for third-party games so everyone thought that the games shown at the event would be released on Xbox Series X as well as PS5. Some of the titles such as AC Valhalla are even coming out on PS4 and Xbox One. While that is true for many of the games shown at the event it is not true for Scorn and The Medium.
The Medium and Scorn are only going to release on Xbox Series X and PC. They are not coming to PS4 and Xbox One. These titles are exclusive to XSX on console. While these games do not seem like system sellers, there is not much that we know about them at the moment. The trailer of Scorn was very sexual and pretty unsettling. The game will be available on Steam and the Windows store for those that are interested in playing it on PC. For those that are interesting in playing it on console, you will need to have an XSX,
The Medium is a psychological horror game, featuring music by Akira Yamaoka and Arkadiusz Reikowski. Become a medium living in two worlds: the real and the spirit one. Haunted by a vision of a child’s murder, you travel to an abandoned hotel resort, which years ago became the stage of an unthinkable tragedy.
The official website clearly mentions that the game is going to come to XSX and PC.
This is a good thing in a way. Scorn and The Medium are only coming to next-generation Xbox Series X. This means that these games are not going to be limited but the current generation of consoles. Previously we confirmed that Horizon Zero Dawn is only coming to PS5 and that is not going to release on PS4. It is a matter of time before games are no longer developed for PS4 and Xbox One. It is not going to happen overnight but it eventually will.
