Cyberpunk 2077 is a few weeks away and with the release of the Intel 10th generation CPUs, and the Nvidia RTX 30 series graphics cards it is a good time to upgrade for people that have older hardware. If you already have a 9th generation Intel CPU then the upgrade might not seem worth it but people with older hardware will want to get some new parts. In this guide, we are going to go over PC builds that will be ready for Cyberpunk 2077.

Right now, the game is a few weeks away and CDPR has confirmed the PC requirements for Cyberpunk 2077. The PC requirements for Cyberpunk 2077 are as follows:

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 10
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 12
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 470
  • Storage: HDD (70 GB, SSD recommended)

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 12
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • Memory: 12 GB

We assume that these are recommendations for 1080p 60 FPS that if you want to run the game at higher resolutions then you are going to need better hardware. While we do not have the official requirements for 2K and 4K, it is easy to assume from the data that we have available. So our recommendations are based on calculated predictions.

Cyberpunk 2077 Ready PC Builds

The following are our recommended Cyberpunk 2077 ready PC builds for playing the game at 1080p, 1440p, and even 4K.

1080p 60 FPS ($645)

The following is an overview of the Cyberpunk 2077 ready PC build that we recommend for playing the game at 1080p 60 FPS at reasonably high settings:

CPU AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (14nm) 3.2 GHz 6-Cores
Motherboard MSI A320M-A PRO Micro ATX AM4
Memory G.Skill Aegis 2 x 8 GB DDR4-3000 CL16
Storage Western Digital Blue 500 GB SSD
Graphics Card MSI GTX 1660 6 GB VENTUS XS OC
Power Supply Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ ATX
Case NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower

AMD Ryzen 5 1600

This is a 6 core, 12 thread CPU that comes with the wraith stealth cooler out of the box. That is why we have not included a CPU cooler in the build. The CPU cooler looks great and is more than ideal for running this CPU at stock speeds.

The CPU has a base clock speed of 3.2 GHz and can boost to 3.6 GHz. While this is not the newest CPU on the market, it is impressive value for money and because it is an older model, you can get some killer discounts.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600

The motherboard that we have selected supports newer CPUs as well so you can pick a newer AMD Ryzen CPU as well if you want but we would recommend a better motherboard to pair with the new generation of AMD Ryzen CPUs.

MSI ProSeries AMD A320

The MSI ProSeries AMD A320 is a very basic motherboard for budget builds. It might not look like much but it does have 2 DIMM slots and a single PCIe slot for your graphics card. The motherboard supports memory up to 3200 MHz.

MSI ProSeries AMD A320

The motherboard is very cheap indeed which makes it great value for money. You can get some killer deals on it too. The motherboard supports newer AMD Ryzen CPUs so you can still use it if you are interested in upgrading down the line.

G.Skill Aegis 2 x 8 GB DDR4-3000 CL16

Moving on to RAM we have the G.Skill Aegis kit of 16GB in total. We recommend getting RAM as a kit to avoid any issues when building a gaming PC.

Note that Ryzen CPUs like faster RAM and while this is not the fastest model on the market it will still get the job done when on a budget or building a mid-range PC build good enough to run Cyberpunk 2077 smoothly at 1080p 60 FPS.

G.Skill Aegis 2 x 8 GB DDR4-3000 CL16

WD Blue 500GB SSD ($35 Off)

WD has been in the storage space for a long time and is known for making reliable storage solutions. SSDs are getting cheaper and we recommend getting one for Cyberpunk 2077 so that you can get into the game faster.

Assets in the world are also going to render much faster due to the high speeds that SSDs have to offer when compare to HDDs. An SSD is what CDPR recommends as well.

WD Blue 500GB SSD

This is not the fastest SSD in the world but it is faster than traditional HDDs and it comes with a 5-year warranty. You can pair this with a larger HDD or increase the capacity of this SSD by getting models up to 4TB.

MSI GTX 1660 VENTUS XS 6G OC (6% Off)

Moving on to the graphics card, we have the GTX 1660 VENTUS XS 6G OC from MSI. The graphics card comes with 6GB of GDDR5 memory. It has a boost clock of 1830 MHz and features DP and HDMI ports for output.

The GTX 1060 is recommended but that is an older graphics card. The GTX 1660 is the replacement for the 1060 and will be able to run the game much better. If you are interested in saving some money then you can do that by going with the GTX 1650 SUPER.

MSI GTX 1660 VENTUS XS 6G OC

The card has a black and silver design and is based on the latest Nvidia Turing architecture. This is a great option if you want the performance without the ray tracing support.  There are two fans that keep the card cool while remaining reasonably silent. At the back, you will find a backplate that matches the overall theme of the graphics card.

You can use MSI Afterburner to overclock the graphics card and get even more performance for your money.

Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ ATX

This is a fairly inexpensive yet reliable power supply that you can get for this build While the rating is nothing fancy it is still a very decent product from a well-known company. I have been using this same model with my RTX 2060 without any issues.

Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ ATX

The smart series comes in a variety of different models. So if you want higher wattage or better rating then you can spend a little more money and get that.

Cooler Master Q300L TUF MasterBox

Staying true to our Micro ATX motherboard, we are going with a Micro ATX PC case for our Cyberpunk 2077 Ready PC build. The Case is pretty small as compared to full-size ATX cases and is made in collaboration with Asus.

The entire front is one large dust filter which is held in place magnetically. It is easy to remove and will help in keeping dust out of your system. At the front, you can install 2 120mm fans and even a 240mm radiator. You will need the additional fans as the case only comes with a single fan that is installed at the back of the case.

Cooler Master Q300L TUF MasterBox

At the top, you have a dust filter as well and you can install 2 120mm fans but the installation of a radiator is not supported on the top natively. At the side, you have a pair of USB 3.0 ports, a power button, reset button and headphone and microphone jacks. the side are covered with acrylic and can be seen through. Which is ideal if you are interested in RGB lighting.

This case supports ATX power supply units. The price is very competitive indeed and if you are interested in building a smaller PC then this is a great case to consider.

1440p 60 FPS ($1435)

The following is the PC build that we recommend for playing Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p 60 FPS.

CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core
Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4
Memory Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 2x16GB DDR4 3600 C18
Storage Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 SSD
Graphics Card Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 Super 8GB Gaming OC
Power Supply Corsair CX 550W 80+ Bronze Semi-modular ATX
Case NZXT H510 Elite

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ($32 Off)

The AMD Ryzen 3600 is a 6 core 12 thread CPU. The CPU supports PCIe Gen 4, unlike the Intel CPUs that are on the market right now. It can boost to 4.2 GHz and comes with the Wraith Stealth cooler out of the box which is more than enough to keep it cool at stock settings.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Cyberpunk 2077 Ready PC

You can get some really impressive deals on this CPU and it is one of the most sold processors on the market right now. The CPU is great for gaming at 1440p and even higher.

ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi)

This is an ATX motherboard so you get 4 DIMM slots for RAM and 2 M.2 slots for high-speed storage. You also have 2 full-size PCIe slots for your graphics cards. The top one is reinforced for better graphics card support. The motherboard supports PCIe Gen 4 which is why we have paired it with the Ryzen 3600.

ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi)

The motherboard features WiFi out of the box. Even though we recommend a LAN connection for gaming, the option is still there if you ever need it. The motherboard has a nice stealthy look and should blend in well with the rest of your PC build.

Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 2x16GB DDR4 3600 C18 ($30 Off)

For the RAM we have the Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB kit. This is optimized for AMD Ryzen CPUs. Ryzen CPUs like faster memory and this kit runs at 3600 MHz so you will get a small boost in performance.

Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB

Other than that, you get the RGB lighting which you can sync with the Asus motherboard and other parts and peripherals in your Cyberpunk 2077 ready PC build.

Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 SSD

This system supports PCIe Gen4 so we have included a storage solution that supports the same standard. This is not an option on Intel platforms right now. We have gone with the 1TB model to keep the cost of the build relatively low. If you want you can increase to capacity to 2TB and in the upcoming future up to 8TB.

Sabrent 1TB

You can choose to get the SSD with or without the heatsink. If you choose not to pick up the heatsink then you can check out our recommendations for some of the best aftermarket SSD heatsinks that you can buy right now.

If you are interested in more PCIe Gen4 SSD options then you can check out our recommendations for the best PCIe Gen4 SSDs that are available right now.

Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super Gaming OC

This is the card that we recommend for 1440p gaming. It is more than capable of running modern games at 1440p 60 FPs and you can even run sports titles at up to 144 FPS. I myself have the RTX 2060 Super and am able to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2020 at 1440p 144 FPS without any issues.

While the non-Super model is also great for 1440p gaming the additional 2GB of VRAM that the Super-model has makes a major difference when playing games at the higher resolution. The Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super Gaming OC has a stealthy design and should blend in well with the rest of the build. Out of the box, the card is factory overclocked by 10% which is a nice boost in performance that you get right out of the box.

Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super Gaming OC Cyberpunk 2077 Ready PC

The card can boost to 1815 MHz which is very impressive indeed keeping in mind that the reference design boosts to 1650 MHz. Another interesting thing that is worth pointing out is that the card 8+6 pin power connectors which means that it can draw more power so you can get a higher overclock out of it if you wanted to.

The card has a zero RPM mode in which the fans do not spin until the graphics card reaches 60 degrees census. You can turn off this feature in the settings. Only the Gigabyte logo has RGB lighting which can be seen as a pro or a con and depends on personal preference. The card is also available in White.

When the RTX 3070 and 3060 are released we will evaluate their performance and update this guide accordingly. So stay tuned for that.

Corsair CX 550W 80+ Bronze Semi-modular ATX

Corsair is known for making some great and reliable gaming gear and here we have a semi-modular power supply to power this Cyberpunk 2077 ready PC build. This is a 550W power supply that is capable of powering your parts.

The power supply is rated 80+ Bronze so it is going to be efficient. Plus it is a semi-modular PSU so cable management is going to be much easier. If you want to save some money then there is a non-modular option as well.

NZXT H510 Elite

For the case, we have the NZXT H510 Elite. NZXT is known for making some of the best cases on the market and this one is a premium option that also happens to be incredibly popular. The case is available in white, black and a combination of red and black.

This is a premium case with a high price tag but it looks good and is functional as well. The NZXT H510 Elite is a beautiful case. This costs more money compared to the non-elite model because of the two air fans that are installed at the front out of the box. You do not get those in the non-elite model.

There is tempered glass on the front and the side so having these fans does make sense. You get to show off not only the hardware that you have inside but also get to show off the tempered glass at the front.

NZXT H510 Elite Cyberpunk 2077 Ready PC

The I/O is also different. You only get a single USB 3.0 port and a USB Type-C Gen2 port. With that, you get the headphone microphone combo jack along with the power button. The case also comes with a headphone microphone combo adapter.

There is no fan on the top but you do get a non-RGB fan at the back to exhaust hot air out of the case. At the front, you can install a 280mm radiator but that is limited to a 120mm radiator at the top. At the back, you can install 2 SSDs and there is plenty of room and accessories for cable management. You can install 2 additional SSDs on top of the PSU shroud.

The case also comes with an RGB controller that controls the RGB lighting of the fans and LED strips.

4K 60 FPS

4K 60 FPS you are going to need some serious performance and that is why we have included some of the best PC parts on the market for this Cyberpunk 2077 Ready PC build. We have not included the absolute best because the price would be dramatically increased. Plus you do not really need all that additional performance for gaming.

With the parts that we have selected, you will be able to play games like Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K 60 FPS and you will have plenty of power for productivity like video editing and content creation. The cost of the build can be brought down to a certain degree by choosing other parts. The following is the build that we recommend:

CPU Intel Core i7-10700K 3.8 GHz 8-Core
CPU Cooler NZXT Kraken X53
Motherboard Asus ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING

The 10700K is the latest and one of the top-tier CPUs that Intel has to offer right now. It has 8 cores and 16 threads and features an unlocked multiplier so you can overclock it. It can boot up to 5.1 GHz. It supports Intel Optane and Boost Max Technology 3.0.

Intel Core i7-10700K

NZXT Kraken Z63

The CPU that we have picked for this build does not come with a cooler so you will need a third-party cooler. Here we have the NZXT Kraken Z63 which is an all-in-one CPU cooler that comes with a customizable LCD display. The design is similar to the older coolers but there is nothing wrong with that. They were very good indeed.

The pump cover can now be rotated so that you have the logo the right way up. The infinity display is even better and looks much deeper. The infinity effect looks much better and you can control that in the software settings. This cooler has some of the best customization options and RGB effects on a CPU cooler.

NZXT Kraken Z63

The cooler comes with the new Gen 7 pump which is rated to be 30% more silent when operating as compared to the older model. The 2.36-inch LCD display is customizable. You can select from all kinds of preset like the ones that show the CPU and the GPU temperature or you can upload a gif of your own.

Asus ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING

We are going to pair the CPU with the ASUS ROG Strix Z490-E Gaming motherboard that comes with all the bells and whistles that you expect to see from a high-end motherboard. The motherboard support overclocking so that you can overclock your CPU if need be. It comes with plenty of armor so keep the different parts cool. You have VRM heatsinks and headers for RGB and AIO pump which we have mentioned above.

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB

We have picked the Corsair Vengeance RGB because if you are spending top dollar then you want all that RGB goodness as well. The RAM runs at 3600MHz which is respectable. You can overclock it with the motherboard that we have picked out.

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB

We have included a 4x8GB kit so that you can populate all the DIMM slots on the motherboard. I myself am using this RAM in my personal gaming PC and I have yet to encounter any issue.

Western Digital Blue 2 TB M.2 SSD

Intel 10th generation CPUs do not support PCIe Gen4, so we are sticking to WD Blue and are not recommending anything super fancy. This is going to give you the speed that you need plus it is a 2TB drive. You can add more if needed down the line.

Western Digital Blue 2 TB M.2 SSD Cyberpunk 2077 Ready PC

ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 10GB

The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 10GB provides better performance than the RTX 2080 Ti for the same price as the RTX 2080 SUPER. This card offers impressive value for money and can do 4K 60 FPS, which should also be the case for Cyberpunk 2077.

The card has a really beefy cooler along with triple fans which should allow you to overclock the graphics card to a fair degree. We do not know about the boost clock speeds right now as Nvidia does not allow AIB partners to market them.

Corsair RM 750 W 80+ Gold Fully Modular

Our choice of PSU has and 80+ Gold rating so you can rest assured that it is going to be efficient. It is also fully modular so cable management is going to be much easier.

Corsair RM750x Cyberpunk 2077 Ready PC

We did not go with an RGB PSU because you will not be able to see it in the case that we have picked.

NZXT H710i ATX Mid Tower Case

The NZXT H710i is a beautiful and clean case that has better airflow compared to the older NZXT cases. The case comes in Black and White, Black and Red, or just Black. The design is minimal but is well thought out.

NZXT H710i Cyberpunk 2077 Ready PC

You have plenty of options for mounting 2.5-inch SSDs and there are plenty of accessories that help you in cable management. You also get that tempered glass side panel to show off all the RGB and high-end parts that you have installed inside.

These are the Cyberpunk 2077 ready PC builds that we can recommend right now.
