There is no denying the fact that shooters are best played at a higher FPS. While not unplayable at 60 FPS, playing them at 120 FPS is a completely different experience. And it does give some advantages in PvP. With the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on PS5, a lot of people are wondering how to enable 120 FPS on the console.
In order to enable 120 FPS on the PS5 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you will need to tinker around with some ‘System Settings’ on your PS5 as the option to do so natively is not implemented as of this article. To begin, follow these steps shared:
- Go to ‘System Settings’ on the PS5.
- Open up ‘Screen and Video’ and set ‘Enable 120 Hz Output’ to ‘Automatic’.
- Now open up ‘Saved Data and App Settings’ and change the ‘Game Presets’ to ‘Performance Mode’.
Once you are done, restart your PS5 once for the changes to take effect. Another important thing to note is that you need to have HDMI 2.1 and a 120 Hz display to be able to enjoy the 120 FPS experience. Lastly, you will also notice some dips here and there but it is nothing major.
