Among Us does not seem like an intensive game to run on PC but if your hardware is not up to the mark then things can get tricky. Running the game at 60 FPS is going to offer the best gaming experience. In this Among Us PC optimization guide, we are going to go over how you can run the game at 60 FPS.
Among Us PC Optimization
There are a couple of settings that you can tweak in order to get better performance in Among Us PC but before getting into that you should know about the requirements of the game. Among Us minimum PC requirements are as follows:
- OS:Â Windows 7 SP1+
- Processor:Â SSE2 instruction set support
- Memory:Â 1 GB RAM
- DirectX:Â Version 10
- Storage:Â 250 MB available space
You can see that this is not a very demanding title to run but if you are having trouble running the game at 60 FPS then there are a couple of tweaks that you can make.
You can turn down certain settings such as post-processing and special effects. Doing so will increase the performance of your hardware significantly. If that does not help you get to the 60 FPS mark then the next things that we recommend are tweaking the NVIDIA PhysX and AMD TressFX. These can also consume a lot of processing power and the difference is not all that noticeable.
If you need even higher FPS then you can tweak the render distance and texture quality. These along with the resolution are the last things that you should lower as they are going to affect your image quality. Reducing these settings will help you get to 60 FPS in Among US even on dated hardware.
