The massive RPG from Amazon has so much to do that it often becomes overwhelming. However, to be successful in your ventures you need to start on the right foot. That starts with choosing the right faction and if necessary you need to change the faction as well. In this guide, we will discuss everything you need to know on how to change your faction in New World.

New World: How to Change Factions

Let’s first talk about what factions are available in the game.

  • The Marauders: This is a military faction that wants to use military power to bring freedom to the world. Similar to what the US wanted to do in Afghanistan.
  • The Syndicate: This faction is after forbidden knowledge in order to enlighten the masses.
  • The Covenant: This faction is more religious and wants to spread its holiness to everyone.

At one point in your earlier quests, you will be asked to choose a faction. It happens after you kill Karl The Overseer. However, once you choose a faction you won’t be tied to it in any way, at least not for long. You can switch your loyalties every 120 in-game days.

To change your faction in New World, go to the Character screen and press K. Now go to the Bio tab and select Change Faction.
