ARK Genesis DLC for ARK: Survival Evolved brings us new creatures that we can tame. In our ARK Genesis Taming guide, we’ll explain where to find and how to tame various creatures in the newest ARK expansion.
ARK Genesis Taming Tips
Creatures on the island can be tamed and the player can use them for various purposes, the best one being the ability to ride.
You can use creatures for riding, item transportation, storage, hunting, harvesting, resource production, and protecting your bases. The following are the creatures you can tame in ARK Genesis:
Ferox
Ferox in ARK Genesis is found on the north side of the Arctic biome. To tame it, you’ll need to feed it the Element, wait for it to transform into its non-aggressive form, feed it the Element again, and continue to do so until it’s tamed. For more details on how to do it effectively, you can check out our Ferox Taming guide.
Magmasaur
Found in the Volcanic zone, taming a Magmasaur requires you to steal its eggs, which is incredibly difficult to do so, and then incubate the stolen eggs. To learn more about stealing these eggs without dying, you can check out our Magmasaur Taming guide.
Megachelon
Megachelon in ARK Genesis is arguably the easiest tame in the expansion. All you need to do is to find one and swim behind it while preventing the Megachelon from taking any damage from the nearby Megalodons. There are a few easy ways of doing so, which you can check in our Megachelon Taming guide.
Bloodstalker
Found in the Bog biome, taming a Bloodstalker requires you to have around 200-ish Blood Packs. With these in your inventory, let a Bloodstalker reel you in and consume the Blood Packs in your inventory until it’s fully tamed. To learn more about how to use it effectively, you can check out our Bloodstalker Taming guide.
Space Whale or Astrocetus
Found in the Lunar biome, taming the Astrocetus or Space Whale requires you to have a Cannon and a Tek Skiff. It shouldn’t take you more than a couple of cannon shots to knock the creature out. You can check out our Space Whale guide for more info. and tips.
