In Planet Zoo, money farming is arguably one of the most important aspects of managing your zoo in the game. Earning and spending is something you’ll consistently have to deal with throughout the game’s Franchise Mode. Having a constant flow of money will ensure that you remain free of any kind of debt and see your zoo succeed. This is where our Planet Zoo Money Guide comes in.
Planet Zoo Money Farming
At the start of the Franchise Mode, you’ll have 40,000 to work with. Probably the most important tip that I can give you is never to go overboard with your expenses. Starting small is perfectly fine as long as you aren’t putting yourself in debt.
Your “Finances” tab will tell you everything you need to know about your earnings and expenses. Therefore, it’s a good idea to check it every now and then.
When it comes to your zoo, a majority of your income will come through Donation Boxes and Gift Shops. That isn’t to say that vendors’ food and drinks stalls don’t amount to anything but the income generated through them is minimal and you shouldn’t rely on it too much.
Since Donation Boxes will generate a major chunk of your revenue, you should consider putting them along the guests’ paths, especially near the exhibit windows. Apart from this, your zoo tickets are another way of generating revenue for your zoo. I should also mention it here that you’ve the complete control over changing the prices of tickets from the menu. Lastly, as mentioned earlier, there isn’t any shame in starting small. Before trying to expand, you need to see whether you’re making any profit or at least breaking even. Therefore, don’t adopt too many animals or build facilities that you don’t need.
How to Save Money
When it comes to saving money in Planet Zoo, you should note that some animal species can share habitat with each other. To learn more about these animal species, you should consider looking at the in-game Zoopedia. You should also make sure that your zoo’s generators are in perfect order.
