NG+ mode is something that a majority of RPG players look forward to trying out in a game. A lot of fans have been wondering whether CDPR has added a the NG+ mode after the latest Cyberpunk 2077 update. In this Cyberpunk 2077 guide, we have detailed all there is to know about NG+ in the game.
NG+ has sort of become a staple when it comes to modern RPGs out there. Titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, SoulsBorne, etc. are known for some great NG+ experiences. A lot of people have been wondering whether Cyberpunk 2077 has a NG+ mode.
Sadly, according to CD Projekt Red, implementing a NG+ mode in Cyberpunk 2077 requires a lot of work which is why it is not available in the game as of right now. After you complete the game’s main storyline, you are presented with end credits and then you are free to roam around the Night City in order to complete remaining Side Jobs, find collectibles, etc. NG+, however, is not available.
NG+ for CP2077 is an incredibly complex feature to make.
It’s rebalancing the entire game (enemies, equipment, items) and tons of testing/tweaking; there’s many skill checks in gameplay and dialogues, what happens here? How’d we handle/balance attribute + perk points?
Does cyberware in early game break anything new – Can the player get to places with doublejump they shouldn’t? What happens when you get your first Grip at Vik’s but have gorilla fists? Part where you see the surgery with your hand may potentially need to be reworked entirely.
Do you keep your vehicles? How do we handle all those scenarios?
Just to name a few questions we’d need to answer. Non of which are impossible, but you see how it is a lot more work than one may think on first glance. We’re listening and investigating. No promises however.
However, for those of you who want to start a new game with all the attributes, perks, etc., there is a Pseudo NG+ mod that you can install. Since it is not official, we recommend installing it at your own discretion. If something breaks or happens to your save, we will not be held responsible. As for an official release, may be we will get one in the next big patch.
