Archon abilities the most powerful ultimate attacks in Godfall but just like other RPGs, ultimate abilities must be charged to use. You first need to fully charge your Archon Fury bar and only then you can unleash powerful attacks, get buffs, and bonuses. All Archon abilities are tied to different Valorplates in Godfall. This guide will explain how to charge up your Archin Fury bar to use Archon Abilities in Godfall.

Godfall: How to Charge Archon Fury Bar

To charge your Archon Fury bar you need to collect Golden Orbs from dead enemies. These Golden orbs are very easy to spot in Godfall. Simply walk over the Golden Orb to collect it and it will charge up your Archon Fury bar ut not all the way through. You need to collect a handful of these Golden Orbs to fully charge you Archon Fury Bar in Godfall.

Each Golden Orb gets you one step closer to using your Archon Abilities in Godfall. The Archon Fury bar is located at the bottom left screen, below the health bar. The Golden Orbs are known as Aetherium. Collect as much Aetherium as you can to charge you Archon Fury bar and use Archon ultimate abilities.

Another way to get Aetherium or Golden Orbs in Godfall is to open chests in the game. Chests can often give you a ton of Aetherium to charge your Archon Fury bar. If you are using a controller press down on both thumbsticks to trigger your Valorplate’s Archon ability.

Gearbox released Godfall a few days ago and since then we have been deep into the amazing new title, absorbing everything it has to offer. Best Archon Abilities In Godfall

In my experience, the best Archon abilities are those that help you stun, stagger, or reveal enemy Weakpoints. Enemies can quickly overwhelm you in Godfall so having the ability summon aid is also very useful as it will give you some breathing space. The best Archon Abilities in Godfall are Greyhawk, Illumina, Moebius, Silvermane, and Aegishorn.

Augments are a key part of Godfall and allow you to add different buffs and add ons to your Valoraplates. Don’t confuse Augments with Valorplate Cores that are required to craft new Valorplates. Each augment adds a bonus to one of the three main stats in Godfall. However, there is trick to using Godfall augments. In this quick guide, we will explain how to use Augments in Godfall to upgrade your armor.

Godfall: How to Use Augments

Augments are classified by rarity and colors. Each rarity has its own color in Godfall. To use augments in Godfall you must make sure that the color of the augment and augment node are the same. The only augment node that allows other colors is the white node. Besides white, nodes have blue, greed, and red colors that must match the color of the augment. Augments drain your power rating which is also tied to their rarity. The more rare augments drain more power while less common augments drain less power from your Valorplates in Godfall.

  • Common Augments Power Cost: 1
  • Uncommon Augments Cost: 3
  • Rare Augments Cost: 5
  • Epic Augments Cost: 15
  • Legendary Augments Cost: 30

You can earn Augments by simply playing the game, killing enemies, and looting chests. They are very easy to find as long as you explore the arenas. And that’s all you need to know on how to use Augments in Gearbox’s latest RPG game. If you need more help with the title, go visit our Godfall Wiki for more helpful content.

Valorplate Cores are an essential part of Godfall’s progression. Gearbox designed the game around these armor sets known as Valorplates. Each Valorplate has its own unique special abilities and skills. You can also add augments, however, to upgrade or craft new Valorplates you need to get more Valorplate Cores in Godfall. In this quick guide, there is everything you need to know on how to get more Valorplates Cores in Godfall.

Godfall: How to Get More Valorplate Cores

In case you aren’t aware already, Valorplates are legendary armor sets that help you get more special abilities, endurance, higher damage, and more. These armor sets are crafted and upgraded using the Valorplate Cores. You see an example of Valorplate Cores during the Sunforge Temple mission after you defeat the final boss. Your character rips out a Valorplate Core from the defeated boss and infuses it into his suit.

Each Valorplate has its own unique playstyle, some of them balance out your abilities while others lean more toward defense or combat. It all depends on what kind of build you want for yourself in Godfall. The following are the ways you can get Valorplate Cores in Godfall.

Open Chests

There are at least 10-15 chests laying around on each level of Godfall. There is so much loot that it’s sometimes hard to handle. All you need to do is find and open chests to get more Valorplate Cores. Opening chests doesn’t guarantee a Valorplate Core drop but it is one of the primary ways to get Valorplate Cores in Godfall.

Kill Bosses

This may take a while because you need to reach a certain point on each level to face a boss. However, pretty much all bosses in Godfall will drop Valorplate Cores for you. This is not the best way to find them but it is one of the ways you can go. Defeating Bosses is not easy and may take a lot of time.

Break Open Everything

You can simply play the game and explore to get Valorplate Cores in Godfall. Explore and break open everything you see in hopes to find more Valorplate Cores. It sounds inefficient but it is one of the easiest ways to get loot in Godfall including Valorplate Cores.

And that’s all there is to getting more Valorplate Cores. If you need more help with the game check out our Godfall Wiki.

Sunforge Temple is the very first main area you visit after the tutorial section of the Godfall. There is a ton of loot here that puts on the right path. In the Sunforge Temple, you will find chests that give you Valorplate Cores, weapons, and other resources. In this guide, we will explain how to find all chests in Sunforge Temple. There are different locations at Sunforge Temple that hide chests in Godfall. Such areas are mostly protected by enemies.

Godfall Sunforge Temple Chests Locations

Before you enter the Sunforge Temple you find yourself face to face with High-Lorge High Lorge Phalanxar. He blocks your way but he is somewhat easy to take down. You don’t have to kill him, simply bring his HP bar down to 45-50% to trigger a cutscene that throws you inside the Sunforge Temple.

Chest Location #1: As you fall down into the Sunforge Temple, you will find yourself in front of a giant cube-shaped stone and two sets of stairs. Go to your left where a bunch of enemies spawn alongside a chest. This chest gives you the first secondary weapon for Godfall.

Chest Location #2: While the first chest was to your left, the lest one will be to your right next to the giant stairs where more enemies spawned.

Chest Location #3: Go up the stairs and you will immediately see a chest in front of another giant set of stairs.

Chest Location #4: From where we found the previous chest, go to the left side of the room and through an open door. There are enemies in this area that protect a chest.

Chest Location #5: From the previous chest, exit the room and take the stairs to reach the upper floor. There are enemies there but no chests. There are more stairs to the left side of this area, near the shrine that takes you further up. As you come up you will find another chest right in front of the big door to your left.

Chest Location #6: There should be nodes to your left that help you jump to platforms slightly below from the previous chest. Use the nodes to navigate the area and kill enemies as you see them. When you use the third and final node your objective will change to “defeat all enemies” and you will find yourself face to face with two Kraven Spawnlings and one Bronze Animus. Kill them and go left instead of taking the stairs. At the very end of this section, you will find another chest and some enemies to kill.

Chest Location #7: From the previous chest, now go back to where you face the Bronze Animus and take the stairs to go up. Keep going and clear enemies until you reach the Soulshattered section of the game. There should be a chest to the left side of this room near the black pillars.

Chest Location #8: In the Soulshattered room, after you clear the enemies under the node, take the stairs to the right side of the room to reach the door protected by two Bronze Animus. You need to kill them to open the door and go up the stairs. When you reach the top, go left and take the stairs down where you’ll face an enemy to learn to parry attacks. Kill him and move forward, you’ll find a set of stairs to your right at the end of the room. Go up the stairs to the very top section (don’t go in the left door yet), and you’ll see another chest protected by a few enemies.

Chest Location #9: Come down from the stairs we used in the previous chest and halfway through you’ll see a door that leads to the next section. Follow the path to the very top of the giant stairs ahead.

You’ll see a bunch of enemies including Bronze Animus along the way, kill them all and reach the top. Use the stairs shown in the picture above to reach an upper platform which a bunch of enemies and a chest at the very end.

Chest Location #10: From the previous chest, come down from the upper platform and go left to face a few enemies. Take the stairs in front of you and then go left to the path that takes you further up in the forge. Reach the section where you must activate the Sunflare Orb in the middle of the room. Survive the ambush for less than a minute and a chest will spawn.

And that’s all the chests locations in Godfall Sunforge Temple. If you need more help with the game see our Godfall Wiki.

In Godfall you have Valorplates that act as your armor. These Valorplate are pretty much the same when it comes to actual gameplay but they are a bit different in effects and characteristics. Not to mention the aesthetics of each are different as well. In this Godfall guide, we are going to go over all the different Valorplate in the different and the special abilities that they have to offer.

Godfall Valorplates And Their Special Abilities

Note: The damage numbers and stats that we have mentioned here are base stats and will scale up as you upgrade and use augments.

The following are the different Valorplates that you can forge in Godfall:

Silvermane

This is the Valorplate that you start off with. The Valorplate offers +10% weapon technique charge speed, shield charge speed and polarity attack charge speed. This means that the cooldowns of these abilities are going to be lowered by 10% right off the bat, so you can use them more often. Increase your Spirit with gear pieces and you should be able to have pretty low cooldowns for your abilities.

Godfall Valorplates

For the archon fury, you summon 3 spirit warriors that help you out in battle. While the ability is active you also get +300% weapon technique charge speed, shield charge speed and polarity attack charge speed. So you can use your abilities even more often. You also get +30% damage whenever you defeat an enemy with a weapon technique, shield ability or polarity attack.

Mesa

You could call this the poison type valorplate in Godfall. It features a 10% chance to inflict poison which is going to deal damage over time to the enemies that are inflicted.

Godfall Valorplates

The archon fury ability for this valorplate sends out a shockwave that deals 30 earth damage. While the ability is active you have +90% chance to inflict poison and +100% damage to poisoned enemies. You will also deal earth damage.

So while you have the archon fury ability enabled you will deal double the damage to poisoned enemies.

Hinterclaw

This is the crit chance type of valorplate in Godfall. Right off the bat, it offers +5% critical hit chance. This would be your pick if you want to buff your critical hit chance.

For the archon fury, you summon 3 spirit warriors that help you out in battle. While the ability is active you get +30% critical hit chance and +15% critical hit damage whenever you defeat an enemy. This will stack up to 150% in total or 10 times. These would be really cool if you combine this with dual blades.

Illumina

The valorplate offers +15% weak point damage. When the archon fury is active it sends out a shockwave which is going to deal 7 physical damage and also reveal the weak points of the enemies around you. The shockwave goes out every 7 seconds.

Illumina

While the ability is active, you also get +40% weapon damage and +40% weak point damage when you perform a deathblow. Hitting weak points does take some precision but if that is something that you are interested in then this is the valorplate for you.

Aegishorn

You can think of this as the tank or support class. By default the valorplate takes 5% less damage. For the archon fury, you summon 3 spirit warriors that help you out in battle.

Aegishorn

When the ability is active, you and allies around you take 30% less damage. When you get hit three projectiles are fired that deal 149 damage. If you are playing with a team and want to help them out then this is one of the valorplates that we recommend you pick in Godfall.

Moebius

Moebius excels at curse damage. The valorplate has a 10% chance of inflicting a curse on an enemy. The archon fury ability summons 3 void sentinels to help you out in combat.

Moebius

When the ability is active you get +90% chance to inflict a curse and +100% damage to cursed enemies. Your attacks will also deal void damage.

Vertigo

This valorplate offers 10% chance to inflict shock. The archon fury ability sends a shockwave that deals 30 air damage.

Vertigo

When the ability is active you get +90% chance to shock enemies and +100 damage to shocked enemies. Your attacks deal air damage.

Typhon

This can be seen as the opposite of Pheonix. By default, the valorplate features +10% chance to inflict chill. Chill can slow down enemies. The archon ability summons 3 water sentinels to help you in battle.

Typhon

When the ability is active you get +90% chance to inflict chill and +100% damage to chilled enemies. Your attacks will deal water damage.

Bulwark

Bulwark valorplate has a +10% chance to inflict bleed. So enemies will bleed over time. The archon ability summons 3 physical sentinels to help you in battle.

Bulwark Godfall Valorplates

When the ability is active, you get +90% chance to inflict blood and +100% damage to bleeding enemies. Your attacks will deal physical damage.

While creating your build and picking the best Valorplate in Godfall you will need to sort out your attributes. These attributes are Might, Spirit and Vitality. But what do these mean? In this Godfall attributes guide, we go over what Might, Spirit and Vitality actually do and why they are important.

What Do Attributes Do In Godfall?

Godfall Attributes

The following is what the three attributes do in Godfall:

  • Might is your DPS or damage per second. If you are looking to make a build that has a lot of damage then you need to focus not only on the damage of your weapon but the Might of your build as well. Might is going to determine the power of your attacks and the speed of your attacks.
  • Spirit is related to the cooldown of your abilities. The higher the Spirit you have for your build, the lower the cooldown of your abilities.
  • Vitality is basically your health or the amount of damage that you can take before you die.

Attributes in Godfall can be increased by using certain gear pieces. Gear pieces such as rings can increase certain stats. The higher the tier of the gear piece the more effects you get. The Ring Of Noxious Power shown in the image above is a rare ring. So not only does it have a leeching effect but it also increased takedown damage by 10%.

A common ring for example is only going to have a single effect but a rare ring is going to have two effects. These gear pieces also have a level requirement so you need to have the required level in order to equip them.

This is what the different attributes in Godfall do. If you are interested in completing the game 100% then you can check out our trophies guide.
