The Crosshair X670E Hero is a top-tier premium motherboard that Asus has to offer and it comes with all the bells and whistles that you can ask for. It bridges the gap between professional PC builders and everyday gamers, allowing all users to construct a high-performance showcase PC.

With its 18+2 teamed power stages rated for 110A and substantial integrated heatsinks, the X670E Hero delivers stable power at cooler temperatures. With that in mind, you should be able to get some decent overclocks with this motherboard.

is equipped for the next generation, featuring a pair of PCIe 5.0×16 slots to support next-gen graphics cards, a PCIe 5.00 M.2 card, and WiFi 6E capability for unhindered wireless networking. ESS ES9218PQ Quad DAC provides pristine audio to the front-panel output.

ROG CROSSHAIR X670E EXTREME

This is one of the top-tier motherboards that Asus has to offer for the AMD Ryzen 7000 series. It features 20 + 2 power stages, DDR5 support, and five M.2 slots. It also comes with Quick Charge 4+ support, dual USB4, PCIe 5.0, and onboard Wi-Fi 6E.

Since this is a premium motherboard, it comes with a lot of armor and beefy VRM cooling. All the M.2 slots have heatsinks.

ROG CROSSHAIR X670E GENE

The GENE variant has made a comeback. Fans have wanted the GENE motherboard back and it seems that Asus has been listening. This is an mATX motherboard, so it does have a smaller footprint but you still get all the bells and whistles.

ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi

The Strix variant is supposedly going to be a mid-range option for those who are not interested in spending too much money. It is a great balance between form and functionality. It features 18+2 teamed power stages rated for 11A and a large, bundled M.2 heatsink to deliver a stable stream of power and thermal performance to the AMD CPU.

The ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi also features an integrated power button on the motherboard and spare M.2 thermal pads to ensure optimal pre-testing and future replacements. It also comes with plenty of armor and all the M.2 slots have their heatsinks. The motherboard uses a pair of 8-pin power connectors to provide power to the CPU. It should give you decent overclocking potential.

ROG Strix X670E-I

The ROG Strix X670E-I is an ITX motherboard for small form factor builds. While this is a smaller motherboard it does come with a lot of armor and cooling. So you do not have to compromise on performance. The motherboard has a pair of M.2 slots, one supports PCIe Gen5 while the other is limited to PCIe Gen4.

PRIME X670-E Pro WiFi

This is an ATX motherboard and has a single PCIe Gen5 M.2 slot. There are a pair of PCIe Gen4 M.2 slots and another PCIe Gen3 slot. This should be cheaper than the Crosshair variants but it is still an X670 motherboard so you still get all the high-end features.

TUF Gaming X670E-Plus WiFi

The TUF Gaming X670E-Plus WiFi delivers performance in a durable and practical form. The board includes a PCIe Gen 5.0 x 16 slot, and four M.2 slots. Featuring a simple, clean aesthetic and badges on the integrated I/O shield, the TUF Gaming X670E-Plus WiFi also includes the latest ASUS Q-Design features, including an intuitive Q-LED agnostic array.

The RGB lighting on the motherboard is minimal which goes with the stealthy design but you still have all the functionality of the higher-end motherboards. The motherboard uses a pair of 8-pin power connectors to provide power to the CPU. It should give you decent overclocking potential.

It is worth mentioning that this model comes with debug LEDs instead of post codes. This is not a particularly expensive feature to include and it would have been nice to have.

ProArt X670E Creator WiFi

As the name implies, this motherboard has been designed with creators in mind. This is a full ATX motherboard so you get 4 DIMM slots for your RAM and three PCIe slots for graphics cards and PCIe SSDs. It has a pair of PCIe Gen5 M.2 slots while there are 2 others that are limited to PCIe GEn4.
