While roaming the world of Elden Ring, the player will come across several maiden statues with blue light coming out of them scattered all around the area, especially in the early game. While seemingly unbreakable, these statues can easily be broken and contain some lucrative loot. But how does one break them open? In this Elden Ring guide, we have detailed all there is to know about how to break glowing statues.

Breaking Glowing Statues in Elden Ring

Breaking these glowing statues is relatively simple but it is not something a lot of people think about doing so. And no, weapons, spells, Ashes of War, etc. do not help the case at all.

When noticed closely, the player will realise that these statues are always next to a large enemy. This is because these enemies are the ones that needed to break them apart. All that the player needs to do is to look for these enemies – these can be dragons, trolls, golems, crabs, etc. Once found, the player needs to lure these enemies to the glowing statue and bait the attacks. If done correctly, the enemy will hit the statue instead of the player. This will cause the statue to break, allowing the player to grab the loot before making a run for it … or defeating the enemy.

Once broken, the player can get different kinds of Smithing Stones from them. Therefore, it is a good idea to do so whenever possible since upgrade materials are hard to come by in Elden Ring, especially during the early game.
