Having more carrying capacity in Death Stranding goes a long way. This is directly tied to unlocking and upgrading your Power Skeleton in the game. In this Death Stranding Guide, we’ve detailed everything you need to know about how to increase your carrying capacity in the game.

Increase Carrying Capacity in Death Stranding

By default, Sam can’t carry more than 120kg of cargo in the game. Increasing it is directly related to the Power Skeleton. To begin, you need to progress through the story until you reach the Central Region, Lake Knot City.

At this point in the game, you’ll receive some delivery orders from Die-Hardman who will take you to the Engineer. Successfully delivering said items to the Engineer will reward you with a Power Skeleton and the ability to craft them from any terminal.

When equipped with a Power Skeleton, you’ll increase your carrying capacity in the game.

How to Upgrade Power Skeleton
Power Skeleton that you’ll receive in the start will be Level 1. You can, however, increase its level to Level 3, which will further increase the weight. To do so, you’ll need to have make some deliveries for the Engineer.

It should take you around 5-6 deliveries to reach Level 3 of Power Skeleton, which will allow you to carry around 300kg of cargo.
