Nvidia RTX 4080 12GB Does Not Have EVGA Variant Or Founders Edition

Nvidia RTX 40 series graphics cards have been announced. The RTX 4090 is the new top-of-the-line model that the company has to offer followed by the RTX 4080 16GB and the RTX 4080 12GB variants. The Nvidia RTX 4080 12GB will not have a Founders Edition or EVGA variants.

No Love For The Nvidia RTX 4080 12GB?

EVGA has already confirmed that it will no longer work with Nvidia on future graphics cards and that has now been confirmed via Nvidia marketing materials which mention the following:

Partners from around the planet, including ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, Galaxy, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC will soon sell custom cards utilizing their own unique designs and cooling solutions. Stay tuned to their websites for further details.

As you can see that there is no mention of EVGA as one of the partners while all the others are clearly mentioned. Furthermore, we got an image of the AIB cards which included variants from MSI, Asus, Zotac, etc but there was no EVGA variant. You can take a look at the image for yourself below:

Nvidia goes on to mention that the limited Founders Edition models will only be available for the GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 (16GB) graphics cards as mentioned below:

GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 (16GB) graphics cards will also be produced directly by NVIDIA as a limited Founders Edition, for fans who want graphics cards using our unique in-house design.

So, at least for now, if you are interested in getting an Nvidia RTX 40 series Founders Edition graphics card then you will need to get the RTX 4090 or the RTX 4080 16GB models.
