Overwatch 2 Push Mode Tips, Best Heroes, How to Increase Win Rate

Overwatch 2 brings us a new game mode called Push. This brand-new game mode is similar to Escort but with a twist. There are two payloads and one robot that pushes both. Teams fight over the robot that moves between the two payloads depending on which team controls it. If the robot can push your payload to the end, you win. If no payload reaches the end, the one nearest to the final checkpoint wins the match.

Push Mode Tips and Best Heroes

Push mode is exclusive to the new Overwatch 2 maps:

  • Circuit Royal
  • Midtown
  • Paraiso
  • Colosseo
  • Esperanca
  • New Queen Street

All of these maps have one thing in common, flanking. The maps are designed to facilitate flanking, so if you’re playing DPS, the best heroes are those who are good at flanking. Here’s a list of the best heroes for Push Mode:

  • Reaper
  • Soldier 76
  • Sojourn
  • Cassidy
  • Sombra
  • Junkrat
  • Tracer

Heroes that you should not be using:

  • Bastian
  • Symmetra
  • Ashe
  • Widow

How to Increase Win Rate

If you’re playing a tank, it is best to use a Tank with a shield and good mobility; that’s either Winston, Sigma, or Reinhardt. Having a Reinhardt, Winston, or Sigma is much better for your team composition. Orisa works well enough, but her stationary shield becomes less effective since you must keep moving back and forth with the robot and payload., Winston, as they allow you to push forward with your team.

On the other hand, if you’re a healer, having a Moira and Mercy on your team is the best for your team composition. But if you want to add another shield to the mix, Bridg isn’t a bad option; still, I recommend having Moira and Mercy on the squad.

Grouping up isn’t essential in Push because it takes only one person to move the payload as long as the robot pushes it. Moreover, there is a point in everyone staying on top of the payload because it doesn’t heal.

Your primary focus in Push mode is winning fights, so if your teammates are in the middle of a fight, don’t worry about the payload and only focus on the fight. After the fight, you can focus on moving the payload but what’s even more important is to be ready for the next fight. Set yourself up for the next fight and if the fight is happening away from the payload, having someone with good mobility move the payload isn’t a bad idea. Tracer and Winston are great picks for moving the payload while the rest of the squad focuses on the fight.

DPS and Support should focus on winning the fights while a Tank like Winston or Sigma can worry about the payload. It is also in your best interest to keep the fight away from the payload when it is in your possession to avoid being contested.

If you’re about to lose a fight, running away is not a good idea. Instead, try to kill one of the enemy team’s healers, especially the healer doing the most healing. If you can get out of the fight after killing the healer, great; if not, it is worth the sacrifice. Doing this sets your team up nicely for the next fight.

Overwatch Vs. Overwatch 2: What Changed?

Overwatch 2 is ever so close to release; in a matter of hours, the new title is coming, and like many, if you weren’t keeping up with every Blizzard shared in the past few months, you probably don’t know about all the major changes coming to Overwatch 2.

Table of Content

  • It’s 5v5 Now
  • New Maps
  • What Happened to PvE
  • New Heroes Joining Overwatch 2
  • What is Push Mode
  • Ping Enemies
  • Only Tanks Can Stun

It’s 5v5 Now

While it is a controversial decision, it’s been made! Blizzard has cut down the team size in Overwatch 2, which means it went from 6v6 to 5v5. You can only have one Tank in Overwatch 2, so the whole idea of off-and-on tanks is out the window. Some notable changes are made to how the tanks work to complement the 5v5 team composition.

New Maps

Blizzard has added the Paraiso and Midtown maps to the Hybrid map pool and Circuit Royal to the Escort map pool. Last but not least, Colosseo and New Queen Street maps are part of the new Push mode. Youtuber “Stylosa” did a wonderful video on all the changes to existing maps and new additions.

  • Circuit Royal
  • Midtown
  • Paraiso
  • Colosseo
  • Esperanca
  • New Queen Street

What Happened to PvE

PvE is still a focus for Overwatch 2, but developers have scaled their plans back for the launch. Hero Missions were supposed to be part of the PvE section of the game, but developers now have to wait till 2023 for major PvE content. For now, Overwatch 2 is primarily a PvP-focused game.

New Heroes Joining Overwatch 2

Sojourn

The first hero joining the Overwatch 2 roster with her full-auto AR. She is a good alternative to Soldier 76. New players with a new experience with Overwatch 1 are better off starting with Sojourn. She uses a railgun that shoots energy shots at the enemy, doing 9 damage per shot.

Secondary Fire: High impact shot that consumes stored energy.

Power Slide: A ground slide that can cancel into a jump.

Disruptor Shot: Launch an energy shot that slows and deals damage to enemies within it.

Overclock (Ultimate): Railgun energy auto-charges for a short duration and charged shots pierce enemies.

Junker Queen

Junker Queen is the new Tank for Overwatch 2. Her abilities and attacks can cause wounds that deal damage over time. She also has a passive that allows her to heal herself; this tank is designed for survivability and aggression.

Adrenaline Rush (Passive): Heal from all damage over time dealt by wounds.

Jagged Blade (Secondary Blade): Melee weapon that wounds enemies, dealing damage over time.

Commanding Shout: Increase Health by 200 and nearby allies healthy by 50. Increase movement speed by 30%.

Carnage: Swing your axe to wound all enemies in front, dealing damage over time.

Rampage (Ultimate): Charge forward and would enemies, dealing damage over time and preventing them from being healed.

Kiriko

Kiriko is the new support hero for Overwatch 2; from the looks of it, she is one of the most powerful heroes in the game. She is a healer that uses healing talismans and throws them at allies like Genji’s stars.

Kunai (Secondary Fire): Thrown projectile that deals increased critical damage.

Swift Step: Teleport directly to an ally, even through walls.

Protection Suzu: Upon impact, allies in the area become invulnerable, and all status effects are cured.

Kitsune Rush (Ultimate): Summon a fox spirit that rushes forward, increasing the movement and attack speed of all allies that follow her path. Cooldowns are also accelerated.

What is Push Mode

Push is a brand new game mode for Overwatch 2. It is similar to Escort but with a twist. Both teams fight over the payload a the same time for the entire duration of the match. You win by getting the payload to the finish line or pushing it farther than the enemy team.

Ping Enemies

Pinging is a near feature, and it is finally making its debut in Overwatch. If you played Call of Duty Warzone, you should know how it works. But in case you don’t know, ping is when you mark enemies on the map to communicate their location to your teammates. The ping mark lasts for a short while but enough to let your team know if there is an enemy trying to flank and where from.

Only Tanks Can Stun

Damage and Support heroes won’t be able to stun or knockback Tanks anymore; that feature is now limited to Tanks only. Tanks can stun and knock back enemies, be it other Tanks, Damage, or Support heroes.

Ark Scorched Earth Wyvern Eggs Locations and Harvesting Guide

Wyvern Eggs are introduced in the Scorched Earth DLC in four variants that can be used to hatch Fire, Poison, Ice, and Lightning Wyverns. Moreover, they can be used to craft Extraordinary Kibble.

Wyvern eggs are one of the most sought-after items in Scorched Earth, and if you are also looking for them, you need to go after Wyverns. These eggs are dropped by Wyverns, not always, but most of the time, a Wyvern does drop an egg. You must be careful while grabbing the eggs when a Wyvern is around. Being spotted would result in the Wyvern becoming hostile to you.

Wyvern eggs are found at various locations in The World Scar. Look near the blue and red obelisks. The World Scar features Fire, Poison, Lightning, and Ice Wyvern, so it’s a stop-shop for all your Wyvern Egg needs.

Note: Use a gas mask when trying to collect a Poison Wyvern Egg.

It’s a good idea to set up traps near the nests to capture or kill the Wyverns. It would make it easier to collect their eggs.

Hatching/Incubation of the Wyvern Eggs

If you don’t plan on eating the Wyvern Eggs, you should hatch them. Wyvern Eggs require plenty of heat, so you will require 14-15 campfires to hatch them. Place the egg in the middle of the campfire and wait for the incubating flag. You should place extra heat sources near the egg when the temperature drops during the night. It takes a long time to hatch the Wyvern egg; when it does, you need Wyvern milk to feed the newly born Wyvern. The milk is also found in The World Scar.

That’s everything you need to know about Wyvern Eggs locations and how to hatch them. Need more help? See Scorched Earth Artifact Locations, Survival Tips.

Ark Scorched Earth Survival Tips and Tricks

Ark Scorched Earth took Ark Survival Evolved’s difficulty to a whole new level. Getting started on the right foot is key to surviving long-term on Scorched Earth. By the time you start Scorched Earth, you will be familiar with a ton of different resources available in the game, and while gathering them all is important, there are some other aspects you need to worry about.

Let’s start with the basics, setting up the base.

Best Base Location: Putting your base near a body of water should be your top priority, and you should absolutely try to find a location near a body of water. However, if a base location near water isn’t doable for you, find concentric stone rings on the ground and set up your base near them. As you progress in the game, you can upgrade them.

Get Shelter: Building a house should be your top priority after setting up a base but having a proper house takes time and resources. To start off, use Thatch to build a shelter to protect yourself from cold and heat.

Build a Tent: Your next step should be to build a tent, so go out to collect Silk, a resource that costs a lot, but it will protect you from most of the elements in Ark Scorched Earth.

Focus on Green Drops: Green drops are among the most valuable resources as they provide Adobe building resources and the desert armor that is a new addition to the game. But the main thing here is Adobe which is perfect for hyperthermal insulation. When building the proper house and focusing on long-term construction, you must gather Adobe and a lot of it.

Note: Wood building makes you hotter, so use Thatch before you can use adobe.

Predicting Weather Events: Use a Jerboas to predict weather events. The Jerboas can make noises, and each noise means a different weather event. Usually, the “brrrr” sound means a heat event. Jerboas is easy to tame due to its small size and lack of aggression. Our friends at Ark Fandom have an in-depth guide explaining everything you need to know about Jerboas and its behaviors.

Tame a Raptor Early: Use a Bola and Boomerang to tame a raptor. Its lightweight and high speed make it an awesome beacon-running tool.

Blue Jug Bugs are a Source of Water: Rivers and standing water are great water sources, but you can drink from Blue Jug Bugs when necessary. You can kill them to drink from them or sneak behind them and drink without killing them.

Get a Whip: It is a handy tool you can use to stun small dinos, or if you manage to tame a Doedicerus, you can use the whip to guide it where you want to go after enabling wandering.

Put Generators Inside Buildings: You can slow down generator decay by placing them inside buildings. Put a good amount of hyperthermic insulation to protect your generators. If you’re using a wind generator, place them somewhere with high wind. Wind stats are shown beside temperature stats if you hold H. It’ll help you set up base in a high-wind area.

Use Perserving Salts: Meat can spoil after a while, but if you place Perserving Salts in the same container as the meat or in the same inventory, it will help slow down the spoiling process.

Fortitude: Contrary to popular belief, Fortitude matters, so put at least 20 points into it.

That’s everything you need to know to get started on the right foot in Ark Scorched Earth. For more on Ark, check out Ark Scorched Earth Weapons and Armor Crafting.

How to Escape the Ship’s Hold in Return to Monkey Island

At the end of Part 1, you will reach the Ghost Ship’s hold, where First Swab Gullet will explain the duties to Guybrush. The job is to clean up some grease, but it quickly becomes its own puzzle.

Every time you try to clean it up, another patch of grease comes down, and you’re stuck in a loop, unable to escape the ship’s hold. So what to do? After you get the job pamphlet open the crate in the ship’s hold to find Murray.

Since you can’t use the stairs to escape, you must find another way out. Grab the mop and start cleaning the grease, then use the mob in the three screws at the edge of the pothole. Lubricate all three screws and use your knife to unscrew the bolts to open the pothole. You use the pothole to escape, but the pothole also needs lubrication.

Grab the mop again and lube the pothole with grease. You must put grease in the pothole three times to properly lubricate it. Put down the mop and slide down the pothole to reach the ship’s side. You can then head right and up the ladder to reach the deck, where you will meet LeChuck, who’ll explain your next quest, finding the skull you need to reach Monkey Island.

The skull is used as an ingredient to create the potion that takes you to Monkey Island, or at least that’s what LeChuck thinks will happen. I’ll cover the skull’s location and how to get it in a separate guide soon, so stay tuned!

That’s everything there is to know on this topic but if you need more help with the game, check out the Mop puzzle solution, where I help you get the mop by finding the mop tree. You can also check out our guide on where you can get the eye patch.
