Skills Can Be Used Outside Combat As Well

There are certain abilities like Athena’s Dash or Ares Wrath that are great in combat but can be used for traversal as well. Use these for movement boosts to get to your destination faster.

There Are Chests Hidden In Vaults

You will find hidden chests in vaults. These are optional chests that are harder to find and can require certain abilities to get to but you should come back and open them when you are ready. Immortals Fenyx Rising Review: Keeping It Light And Breezy

Immortals Fenyx Rising can best be described as a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild competitor from Ubisoft. The game takes a few notes from the Assassin’s Creed series and if you have played AC: Odyssey then you will find similar elements but with a “twist”.

Immortals Fenyx Rising Review

In Immortals Fenyx Rising you can climb anything if you have enough stamina. The gliding mechanic is something that you might be used to if you have played Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Genshin Impact. It is a nice way of traversing around the world and you can experience some breath-taking sights along the way.

The exploration and open-world experience is similar to pretty much any Ubisoft game that you might have played in the past. There is plenty to explore and much to do. You have puzzles and challenges to complete apart from the main storyline. You also have hidden chests that you can open in order to get additional rewards.

The issue with exploration is that you are never truly exploring or truly lost in the game, so to speak. The game holds your hand and what you will be doing most of the time is going from point A to B. The element of surprise is just not there. Farsight is going to mark all the points of interest and will tell you what to expect when you get to any of the locations. So the mystery factor is not there but that does not mean that all the activities in the game are not fun.

The vaults are one of the activities that are fun to complete. They can be very challenging at times and they will require you to unlock certain abilities in order to complete. Which is something that you can do and come back. The game is going to tell you if you are missing an ability that you need so that you can quit the vault and come back later on.

Simple Combat That Works

The skill tree and the abilities that you can unlock are not as elaborate as Assassin’s Creed games but they do the job and help keep the game light and breezy. The weapons are also limited but they do not break and you do not need to find new ones. Which helps keep the combat simple enough while also keeping it interesting.

The ways in which you can use the godly abilities that Fenyx has depends on you. You will find clever ways of using abilities while in combat and also when traversing the world. Abilities like Athena’s Wrath, when used properly allow you to do a triple jump and get to higher places quickly without using as much stamina.

While the initial godly powers that you get are pretty basic, progress the game and you will unlock some killer abilities that you can chain together to pull off some sinister moves. The combat is satisfying and timing dodges will slow down time so that you can land some critical hits.

Stealth is also an option in the game and you can deal some serious damage with a stealthy approach. But I did not find it all that useful apart from the initial stealth blow. Upgrade your gear and abilities and you will truly become a god and be able to bully bosses.

The Flawed Storytelling Of Immortals Fenyx Rising

The storytelling is by far the weakest element of the game. The story is narrated by Zeus and Prometheus, and both have their own style but their jokes are not even funny and the tone of the story is never consistent. Both the gods rarely provide any insight regarding the story or the locations that you experience.

The narration is really off and the jokes can get cringy at times. I do agree that the game has a moral that we can all learn from and it is an interesting one but the way in which the dots are connected could have been much better.

Conclusion

Immortals Fenyx Rising is an impressive game that has interesting combat and decent exploration. The story is the weakest aspect of the game but if you are not interested in the cringy jokes and just looking for a refreshing game that you can jump in and kill some time then this is something that you might like especially if you like games like Zelda Breath of the Wild. This is an easy 7/10 game.

The good thing about the stamina in the game is that it can regenerate pretty quickly. Do not run or climb for a second and the bar will fill up pretty fast. Still, having more stamina is going to help you in the long run.

How To Upgrade Maximum Stamina Bar In Immortals Fenyx Rising

In order to increase your stamina bar in Immortals Fenyx Rising you need Zeus’Lightning. You can get this by completing Vaults of Tartaros that are scattered across the open world. You also need to progress the game until you have unlocked the Hall of Gods.

Generally, you get a single bolt of Zeus’ Lightning for completing a Vault of Tartaros. You get it at the end as a completion reward. But note that you can also get them by completing challenges that you can get from Hermes.

You will need four of Zeus’ Lightning in order to upgrade your stamina for the first time but the cost of the upgrade is going to increase every time you upgrade your stamina. The Legendary Nemean Lion

When you defeat it, you will get the Phosphor of Zeus’ Lightning. This will make Phosphor’s Clone explode and deal damage to enemies.

Alektryon, Legendary Rooster

The roaster is the easiest of the legendary animals to beat in Immortals Fenyx Rising. You can find it in the middle of the Palace of Aphrodite located on the island near the constellation puzzle. Killing the roaster will get you the Phosphor the Stonegazer. This will decrease the amount of stamina consumed when cloaked.

The Legendary Bear Kallisto

You can find the legendary bear in the ravine between the Gates of Tartaros and the Valley of Eternal Spring. Defeat the bear to get the Phosphor of Companionship. This will allow you to keep yourself cloaked even after lethal stealth attacks.

Leiutenant Aello, The Storm Swift Harpy

Lieutenant Aello is a harpy so you will need to attack him in the air. You can find the legendary animal on the island between lava rivers. Defeating him will get you the Wings of the Revels cosmetic.

Lieutenant Okypete, The Swift Wing Harpy

This is another harpy that is located in the hot springs in the north of the area. Again you will need to deal with the flying attacks and shoot arrows in the air to take Lieutenant Okypete down.

Immortals Fenyx Rising PC Optimization Guide – How To Get 60 FPS, Optimized Settings

Getting that 60 FPS experience is a must for a lot of PC players. Since Immortals Fenyx Rising is a Ubisoft developed and published title, it requires a high-end PC to achieve 60 FPS with all the graphics settings set to max. In this Immortals Fenyx Rising PC Optimization Guide, I will help players with each of the game’s graphics options, what it does, and will also recommend the best settings so that players can play the game at 60 FPS on a mid-range PC.

Immortals Fenyx Rising PC Optimization

Immortals Fenyx Rising is the third open-world game this year from Ubisoft. While I was thoroughly disappointed with Wach Dogs Legion’s PC performance, I was quite impressed with how Ubisoft handled Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is developed on the same game engine as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This means in terms of performance, the game is nowhere as bad as Watch Dogs Legion. However, to get the game running at 60 FPS, players still need to put in some effort.

While Immortals Fenyx Rising is a GPU-bound game, for the most part, players still need at least a 6 Core/6 Thread CPU to achieve the 60 FPS target. 4 Core/4 Thread CPUs have become almost obsolete for 1080p gaming.

In this Immortals Fenyx Rising PC Optimization Guide, I will be targeting a mid-range PC by which I mean a PC with at least an 8th-gen Intel Core-i5 6 Core/6 Thread CPU, Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, and 16 GB of RAM.

Also if you have an SSD, then I recommend that you install the game there as it’ll not only improve load times but will also help with texture streaming. With that out of the way, let’s begin with our Immortals Fenyx Rising PC Optimization Guide.

Adaptive Quality

Adaptive Quality is an alternative to Resolution Scale. While the resolution Scale renders on a fixed resolution, Adaptive Quality dynamically adjusts the game’s resolution to hit the 60 FPS target.

This option is useful if PC players want to crank the graphics settings up while still maintaining the 60 FPS target.

Anti-Aliasing

Anti-Aliasing eliminates jagged edges or aliasing from in-game assets. This graphics setting is quite heavy on performance. I recommend that you set this one at Low. It’ll still eliminate aliasing but, the image will be soft compared to the higher options.

Recommended: Low

Environment Quality

Environment Quality option in Immortals Fenyx Rising controls the level of detail and geometrical complexity of the game’s world. The higher the setting, the dense the grass will be and objects like buildings and trees at a distance will have high-resolution models and increased geometrical complexity. I recommend that you set this one to Medium to save performance.

Recommended: Medium

Shadow Quality

This graphics option is pretty self-explanatory. Shadow Quality option controls the quality of shadows. The higher the setting, the better looking and high-res the shadows will be. Obviously, this option is quite taxing on the performance, so set this one to Low.

Recommended: Low

Effects Quality

While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has separate options for Fog, Clouds, and Water settings, Immortals Fenyx Rising has “Effects Quality” that controls all of them. Set this setting to Medium.

Recommended: Medium

Texture Quality

Texture Quality settings control the resolution of the textures for in-game assets like walls, houses, vegetation, and even the characters. The higher the settings, the better-looking textures will be for in-game objects. I recommend that you set this to High if you have a GPU with 4G B or more VRAM.

Recommended: High

Screen Space Reflections

Screen Space Reflections are reflections that are displayed if the object is in the player’s field of view. If the object is obscured from the player’s field of view, the game will stop rendering reflection for it. This saves performance and I recommend that you set it to On.

Recommended: On

Ambient Occlusion

Ambient Occlusion can really improve the image quality by adding shadows to objects that would otherwise be ignored. This makes the scene more grounded and realistic. However, it can impact performance. I recommend that you set this setting to On.

Recommended: On

Depth Of Field, Motion Blur

Depth of Field and Motion Blur are post-processing effects. These don’t really have a significant impact on performance and their use is dependant on the players themselves.

Depth of Field comes into play during cutscenes predominantly. It focuses on objects and blurs everything around that object.

Motion Blur is useful if you are targeting 30 FPS. Motion Blur smooths the camera movement so it won’t feel jittery while the game is rendering low FPS.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is the latest and the third open-world Ubisoft game this year following Watch Dogs Legion and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It’s a charming game that takes the best things from Assassin’s Creed and Legend Of Zelda Breath of the Wild.

However, the PC version of Immortals Fenyx Rising is facing errors and issues like game crashing at launch, Unable to start the game error, in-game crash, controller not working, stuttering, and more. The following are the errors and issues that PC players are experiencing with the game along with their fixes and workarounds.

Unable To Start The Game Fix

Immortals Fenyx Rising players are reporting that they are unable to play the game as they get the “Unable to start the game – Cannot be activated at this time” error when they launch it.

The fix for the “Unable to start the game” error is simple. Navigate to the Immortals Fenyx Rising’s install folder. If you are using the default installation path, then you need to navigate to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Immortals Fenyx Rising”. Here players will find two files named “ImmortalsFenyxRising_plus.exe” and “ImmortalsFenyxRising.exe”.

Rename “ImmortalsFenyxRising.exe” to “ImmortalsFenyxRising.exe.old “or delete it and rename “ImmortalsFenyxRising_plus.exe” to “ImmortalsFenyxRising.exe”. Launch Immortals Fenyx Rising and you won’t get the “Unable to start the game” error.

Low FPS, Stuttering Fix

Performance issues are common among PC games, partly due to lackluster optimization and partly due to so many PC configurations in the market. Immortals Fenyx Rising PC players are reporting severe performance issues like low FPS, stuttering, and random FPS drops even on high-end PCs. Here is how to fix it.

Apply these changes and players will find a noticeable improvement in performance. In case Immortals Fenyx Rising performance issues persist, disable in-game v.sync and set the Vertical Sync to Fast in Nvidia Control Panel.

Also, if you have enabled “Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling”, then disable it as it can cause severe performance issues with games. The results for Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling vary from game to game. Some games respond well to it when enabled and some require it to be disabled. Open Settings > System > Display > click Graphics Settings at the bottom . Disable or enable Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling, it’s up to you and then, restart your PC.

Immortals Fenyx Rising Not Starting, Crash At Startup Fix

Immortals Fenyx Rising players are reporting that the game crashes at launch or doesn’t start at all. There are a number of reasons behind the Immortals Fenyx Rising crash at startup issue and here are the fixes.

Make sure that OS you are using is at least Windows 7 64-Bit as the game doesn’t support 32-Bit OS. If you are using 32-Bit Windows then upgrade to 64-bit and the game will launch.

Another reason for the game to not launch could be the lack of admin rights. Right-click Ubisoft Connect > Properties > Compatibility tab > check “Run this program as administrator” and hit apply. Do the same for Immortals Fenyx Rising.exe and the issue will be fixed.

Your anti-virus/Windows Security might be blocking Important game files. Either disable ream-time protection or exclude the Immortals Fenyx Rising’s install folder from it. The Name of Love Puzzle Solution

The objective of the Name of Love puzzle is to “Get The Clue”. To get the clue, players need to solve a small puzzle and that is where our Immortals Fenyx Rising guide comes in to help you with The Name of Love puzzle.

How To Get The Clue

Stand on the platform as shown in the image below and fire an arrow into the brazier right in front of the platform. You just don’t have to fire it but, players have to control the arrow so it goes through the fire and lands on the braziers, highlighted by the red circle in the image, to light them up. So, light the left brazier and then the right brazier.

This will make 2 big square blocks fall from above the braziers and two laser beams will also shoot out. Avoid these laser beams as they deal damage. Here players need to move the square block on the left to the platform in the center while avoiding the lasers.

There is a small square block sitting on top of the platform where the big block needs to go. Use the small block to block the lasers and move the big square block and place it on the platform highlighted in the image below.

Once the block is placed on the platform, the laser beams will go away. Open the chest in front of you. You have solved The Name of Love Puzzle and the clue is yours.
