GWENT Master Mirror Expansion Is Available Now!

CD PROJEKT RED announced the release of Master Mirror, the fifth expansion for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. The expansion is available for download as a free GWENT update for iOS, Android, and PC.

The latest expansion for GWENT revolves around Gaunter O’Dimm, a mysterious and powerful character best known from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Hearts of Stone expansion. Master Mirror introduces over 70 new cards, including 11 neutral cards and 6 unique, legendary faction cards that change their appearance and skills throughout battle.

A number of new offensive and defensive abilities are also waiting to be mastered. One of these is ‘Veil’, which allows players to shield an allied unit from negative statuses, or prevent an enemy unit from gaining beneficial ones. ‘Devotion’, in turn, enhances the skills of a card that has that keyword, but only if the player’s deck consists solely of faction-specific cards. Information about more new gameplay mechanics can be found on the dedicated page.

To celebrate the release of Master Mirror, the ‘Gaunter’s Ultimate Challenge’ event has just begun. By performing special tasks, available only during the event, players support their favorite factions and fight for unique titles and other prizes. The challenge will last from June 30th to August 5th. Details can be found here.

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is available for free on PC via GOG.COM and Steam, as well as on Android and iOS. For more information on GWENT you can check out the official website.

Cyberpunk 2077 Brand New Trailer Revealed! Anime Announced

CD PROJEKT RED has released the latest trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, their upcoming open-world, action-adventure RPG. The trailer was revealed in the first episode of Night City Wire.

The trailer features new footage showcasing the world, characters, story, and action of Cyberpunk 2077. It gives players a fresh look into the dark future setting that is Night City, and the beginnings of the mercenary career of V — the ambitious, cyber-enhanced outlaw players will be stepping into the shoes of later this year.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release November 19th, 2020, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with the version for Google Stadia set to launch the same year. The game will also be playable on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles when available. At a later date, a free upgrade to Cyberpunk 2077, taking full advantage of next-gen hardware, will become available for owners of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions respectively.

CD PROJEKT RED, Studio Trigger, and Netflix announce an all new original anime series CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS set in the same universe as the upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077. The series will premiere in 2022.

CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.

Adam Badowski, Cyberpunk 2077 Game Director and CD PROJEKT RED Head of Studio had the following to say regarding the matter:

We are so excited to finally reveal that we are working on an anime in the Cyberpunk world, We’ve devoured just about all the cyberpunk fiction there is to watch, read, and play; it’s a genre that leaves so much room for creativity, and has had such a strong influence on us. CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS is our love letter to cyberpunk as a whole, and to stories told in animated form.

Masahiko Otsuka, CEO, Studio TRIGGER. Director Hiroyuki Imaishi added the following regarding the matter:

We at TRIGGER are thrilled to work with CD PROJEKT RED to create a brand-new story set in the world of the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. It’s a huge challenge to adapt this universe into an anime, but we are eager to face it head-on. I’ve always loved cyberpunk as a genre, but always found it difficult to create as an original work. This is why I’m very excited to be working with CD PROJEKT RED on this project. It won’t be easy to please both game and anime fans, but I love a challenge, and I’m looking forward to the production. We’ll do our best to meet and exceed expectations.

Let us know what you think about the new Cyberpunk 2077 and the announcement of the upcoming anime.

Cyberpunk 2077: Johnny Silverhand’s Arm Is Ironically Made By Arasaka

The Cyberpunk 2077 limited edition Xbox One X and controller are available now. The Cyberpunk 2077 controller is actually inspired by Johnny Silverhand’s arm. Johnny is played by none other than Keanu Reeves. In a recent video, CDPR talked about the controller and how it was inspired by Johnny Silverhand.

Johnny Silverhand’s arm is actually made by Arasaka, which is ironic because it is the corporation that he hates so much. That is why we see the Arasaka branding on the silver side of the controller. CDPR mentioned that Johnny Silverhand did something to change the status quo and then disappeared but his legend lives on.

We know that he plays an active part in Cyberpunk 2077 and the player can see him because of a mysterious chip. Johnny’s arm is chrome and that is why the base of the thumbstick is red but the top is silver. On the back of the controller, you have the Samurai logo. Samurai is the band and Johnny happens to be a member of that band.

CDPR teased that right now the connection between the console design and the controller might not make sense but once players start playing Cyberpunk 2077 they will see the connection and how it makes sense.

While the limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X looks great, getting one might not be worth it for most people keeping in mind that the Xbox Series X is coming out a few weeks after the release of the game. Then again this is a limited edition console and mostly collectors are going to be interested in buying one.

This is most likely a way in which Microsoft can sell the stock of Xbox One X units that they have. Interestingly, the console also comes with a colored HDMI cable and this is the first time that Microsoft has done something of the sort.

If you are interested in getting the game or related merch then you can check out the links below:

Let us know what you think about the Cyberpunk 2077 controller being inspired by the mechanical arm of Johnny Silverhand and share your theories regarding the design of the console and controller.

Original Story: Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED has an interesting marketing technique.  The company likes to throw teasers and cryptic messages our way to keep us busy until the final release of the game.

Not too long ago we got the multiple cryptic Tweets that finally revealed the custom Xbox Series X console. And if you think CD Projekt RED is done with such tactics, think again. Earlier, CD Projekt RED posted an ear emoji on its official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter page. It seems like the simplest of Tweets but there is a lot more to it.

The Tweet was in reply to Steel Series, the makers of PC and console gaming accessories. The post strongly suggests that Steel Series might be cooking up a custom Cyberpunk 2077 headsets for gaming devices.

Only time will tell what this Tweet means, we’ll keep an eye on this for you.

Cyberpunk 2077 Demo Scene Recreated In Unity Looks Very Impressive Indeed

There is a lot of hype around Cyberpunk 2077 and with the game around the corner the devs have kept players in the dark but that does not mean that the fans are not going to do some exploring of their own. Some fans have put together a scene of the Cyberpunk 2077 demo in Unity and it looks very cool indeed.

Some fans have put together a scene from the Cyberpunk 2077 demo in Unity and while there are some differences when it comes to the actual characters, the environment looks very similar indeed and the level of details that they were able to pull off looks very cool. You can check it out below:

This Cyberpunk 2077 Unity scene shows that the game could be scaled down to other platforms that are not as powerful as the Xbox One or PS4. It would be interesting to see that happen. One could only imagine how cool it would be to play the game on the Nintendo Switch. The game would have to be downgraded and some serious compromises would have to be made but the portability is the main selling point of the Switch anyway.

While the thought is great and all, CDPR has mentioned that it is going to polish the game of PC, Xbox One and PS4 before thinking about releasing it on other platforms. We might get an announcement for Nintendo Switch down the line but there is nothing that we know of for now. CDPR has not even confirmed if the game is going to be enhanced for the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

The developers have given us some details regarding the game and mentioned that driving in Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be more realistic when compared to GTA 5.

Let us know what you think about this Cyberpunk 2077 demo in Unity.

Cyberpunk 2077 Images From Unseen E3 2019 Demo Posted By Japanese Publication

Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 was shown to the media behind closed doors. The masses have not seen what the demo was about and what it had to offer. We have heard about it and different publications have given their opinions about it too.

Some images of the Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 demo have been published by a Japanese magazine and we will include them below. In one of the screenshots, we see the bike that is part of the Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition Figurine. It looks great and it is fair to say that CD Projekt RED might allow us to customize it.

We can see the bike, which looks really cool. The following is a rough translation of what is written in the top left corner:

Your bones are probably gonna break exploring Night City on foot (if not, someone will). A lot of vehicles are in the game so make sure to utilise them. V’s beloved red bike”YAIBA KUSANAGI” made its debut in this E3 2019 gameplay demo.

The following is a rough translation of what is written on the Left-hand side:

Lots of Japanese manufacturers are in the game. YAIBA, one of them, produces this monster: “KUSANAGI”. As its name suggests, YAIBA’s name was inspired by a traditional Japanese sword. Being the representation of this game, “KUSANAGI” is also present in the Collector’s Edition as a figure.

The following is a rough translation of what is written above the bike:

Facing the same situation inside the mega mall, “Netrunner” and “Solo” class took different approaches in the demo. As described, “Netrunner” class specialises in hacking network, forcing enemies into self-destruct by hijacking their body…

Type of actions that can only be seen in an era where technology becomes so ubiquitous. On the other hand, “Solo” class attacks enemies head-on. Players can pursue their own style by discovering what they prefer using the varied skill tree, and the most impressive one to me was “Nanowire”. The amount of damage that you can do when you slice your enemies into pieces using a wire emanating red light completely boggled my mind.

Near the end of battle V confronted a tough guy wielding a hammer. We were able to see V overwhelming the enemy by dodging and hitting the enemy’s weak point in the back. A boss fight like this can vary depending on whether you are a “Netrunner” or a “Solo”. To make this game more “techier”, you can even develop a build that specialises in controlling a spider-like robot. Despite being told that there’s a high level of freedom regarding combat, the diversity of it was still beyond our imagination.

The following is a rough translation of what is written on the lower right side:

The real goal of Placide was to unfreeze Bridget. Placide planned to sacrifice V and deal with the agent from the Netwatch as well in the beginning. But V didn’t die. V woke up to hear Johnny’s voice. What exactly is the relationship between Johnny Silverhand (the chip inside V) and V’s immortality? After being resurrected from freezing, Bridget took V into Cyberspace. Alt, a person that Johnny and V are looking for, seemed to be in Cyberspace. What kind of things await?

The following is a rough translation of what is written on the Upper right-hand side:

The demo introduced the gunfight specialist “Solo” approach as well. “Solo” opens locked doors, operates in barrage of bullets, lifts weapons off tripods… in contrast to “Netrunner”, “Solo” displays a more powerful, enforcer-type of combat style. Despite you cannot switch from one build to another, you can develop a hybrid build instead.

We also see some characters that we have not seen before. We have a screenshot that covers most of the characters that were shown in the Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 Demo.

Some of these characters are from the 2018 demo but we have some new ones as well. Other than that, we have one more screenshot which is pretty generic. This one does not seem to have anything new when it comes to the images.

CDPR has confirmed that the Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 Demo will be revealed later this year so we will be able to learn more then. In the meantime, CDPR has been very vocal about the game and has talked about different aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 including Mods, Exotics, Romances, Street Racing & Prostitutes.

We also looked into the negative press that the game has been getting and how the money trail leads back to Epic Games. Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games right now and Steam is giving away the game for free as part of the Steam Summer Sale metagame. If you are interested in getting the game for free then do give Steam Grand Prix a try.

Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on April 16 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Cyberpunk 2077 Mods, Exotics, Romances, Street Racing & Prostitutes

Cyberpunk 2077 is all that the gaming community can talk about right now. While the fans are pretty excited about the game, media outlets have some negative reports. We are not going to talk about all that here. In this article, we are going to look into different aspects of Cyberpunk 2077, like mods, exotics, romances, prostitution and more.

New Cyberpunk 2077 Details

Since we got the release date at E3 2019 CDPR has been very vocal about the game. We now have more details about the different aspects of the game. Let’s look into the new details that we have learned about.

You can finish Cyberpunk 2077 without killing anyone

Developers have confirmed that you can finish the game without killing anyone. Cyberpunk 2077 does have non-lethal weapons and there are some choices that you can make in the game that are not violent. Stealth is also an option in the game. There are plenty of ways in which you can approach a situation or mission.

Romance And Prostitutes

Cyberpunk 2077 has adult themes. There is a lot of nudity and sex in the game. CDPR has confirmed that you will be able to have romances in the game. You can choose your sexuality which means that you can choose to be straight, gay, lesbian or bi. You can have meaningful relationships in the game but if you are looking for a quickie then there are prostitutes in Night City.

While V might not have defined sexuality but the NPCs in the game will. You will need to select the right dialogue choices and see what happens. Romances in Cyberpunk 2077 are going to be an interesting aspect. You will have the ability to choose whether you have a meaningful relation or a one night stand with someone. CDPR has mentioned that romances in Cyberpunk 2077 are similar to The Witcher 3.

Why Johny Silverhand Is Not Blonde?

In the lore, Johny Silverhand is blonde. Some fans did not realize that Keanu Reeves was playing Silverhand because he does not have blonde hair. CDPR has confirmed that there is a reason behind that. While the developer did not mention much, CDPR did mention that the chip has gone from hand to hand. So that could be one of the reasons why Johny Silverhand is not blonde in Cyberpunk 2077.

Street Racing

CDPR was asked about the different mini-games and activities that players can take part in Night City. It turns out that CDPR has plenty of activities in mind. You can play a hacking mini-game. Other than that you can visit the shooting range to increase your shooting stats. Street racing is another activity that you can take part in Cyberpunk 2077.

NPC Exotics are confirmed

Exotics people that have advanced cyberwear and have modified themselves to look like cats. While CDPR has not mentioned if the player has access to exotic cyberwear, we have seen and heard of exotic NPCs that will be part of Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Support

CDPR has confirmed that mod support will not be available at launch. Right now the team is working on finishing the game and polishing it but it is something that the team has in the plans. CDPR knows that there is a modding community that is interested in Cyberpunk 2077.

CDPR Has The Rights To Audio And Visuals

CDPR has the rights to the audio and visuals. The developer has mentioned that creators will be able to create content around the game. Streamers and YouTubers will be pleased to know that the policies around copyrights are similar to The Witcher 3.

Photo Mode

Cyberpunk 2077 has a photo mode. You will be able to take pictures of Night City and the different characters in the game.

Multiple Endings

Cyberpunk 2077 has plenty of options and flexibility when it comes to how you play the game. CDPR has confirmed that there will be multiple endings. The ending will depend on how you play the game and the choices that you make in Cyberpunk 2077. Interestingly, the game also has different starting points as well.

Witcher 3 Composer Working On The Music

Marcin Przybyowicz the composer that worked on the soundtracks of Witcher 3 is working on the soundtrack of Cyberpunk 2077.

VR Drugs
‘Braindances,’ a form of futuristic, drug-like VR, will play a big role. lead gameplay designer Marcin Janiszewski mentioned;”People live someone else’s life while sleeping in the gutter.”

Morality Mechanics

Cyberpunk 2077 does not have morality mechanics. V will be treated differently in the world depending on reputation. A hard morality system won’t be in place.

This is what we know about Cyberpunk 2077, mods, exotics, romances, prostitution and other features right now. Stay tuned for more information.

Romance In Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be Long-term And Like The Witcher 3

Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED has already confirmed that the game will have a lot of sex and nudity. But the romance options go deeper than just sex.

Lead Quest Designer Paweł Sasko has confirmed that romance in Cyberpunk 2077 will be similar to what players experienced in The Witcher 3. Here is what he had to say regarding the matter:

So in terms of romances, you can think that it’s going to be similar to how Witcher 3 was…there were whole plot lines regarding character [romances].

Since the release date reveal, CDPR has been very vocal about the game. We are getting details about the game more frequently now. You can check out the entire conversation below:

Cyberpunk 2077 romance will cover different sexualities and sexual preferences. You can have gay and lesbian interactions if you want to. In the Witcher 3, the character was more define but Cyberpunk 2077 is more flexible. You can choose your character and customize it how you seem fit.

Cyberpunk has been under fire for being a sexist game. I believe that some portion of the population is going to be pissed no matter what you do. Let’s take Cyberpunk 2077 romance options for an example. If you can have multiple romances then people will call the game sexist for objectifying women. If you do not have the option to romance multiple NPCs then haters will say that It’s 2077 and people are not bound by nuclear family anymore. Hence the game is sexist.

I think that CDPR should go with the creative ideas that they have already finalized. Removing something just because it would displease a fraction of the potential fanbase could ending up ruining the game. I mean how many different elements can you remove from the game before it turns into something else entirely?

CDPR has also confirmed that the Cyberpunk 2077 will have multiple starting points. The devs have just revealed some new concept art which you can check out.

Let us know what you think about Cyberpunk 2077 romance and whether or not you are interested in playing the game when it comes out next year.

Cyberpunk 2077 Has Multiple Starting Points Based on Background Selection

Cyberpunk 2077 has multiple starting points indicates quest designer Pawel Sasko. He first implied this feature during an interview with VG24/7 but his wording wasn’t clear enough. One of the fans reached out to Sasko for clarification on Twitter. According to Pawel, he is going to stand by what he said but can’t further comment on it. Pawel Sasko wishes to ignore spoilers but it is pretty clear he can’t speak outside of that interview.

I stand for what I have said but would prefer not to confirm too much here as it’s strongly tied to the story and spoiling it is like a crime to me. I feel you will like it, let’s keep it at that.

Based on what he said in the interview, Cyberpunk 2077 will have different starting points. These starting points depend on the life path you choose at the beginning of the game.

You can be one of the nomads as a player and you can start there, being part of a family of the Nomads. You could call them a tribe that is living in cars and they’re just driving over Badlands. They’re doing various jobs for fixers, and for people in the city, and doing various deals – I don’t want to disclose too much because not to spoil the story.

His statement suggests that players can choose to be part of various groups, tribes, gangs. The feature opens up the room for many playthroughs as part of different groups. New quest lines, dialogues, endings, the possibilities are endless. Cyberpunk 2077 publisher and developer CD Projekt RED creating a deep branching narrative. It seems Cyberpunk 2077 publisher is taking things a few steps forward from The Witcher 3.

There are three primary backgrounds you can choose and each will affect your interactions. For example, if you choose “Street Kid” you will have better luck speaking with gangs as opposed to “Nomad” and “Corporate.”

  • Street Kid — Someone who grew up on the streets
  • Nomad — Ex-Corporate employee fired and blacklisted
  • Corporate — Corporate employee working to secure their interest

Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16, 2020.
