How to Get More Storage Space in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Do you ever feel like you don’t have enough storage space in Disney Dreamlight? Well, you’re not alone. Many gamers run out of storage space regularly, especially as they try to collect more and more items. Luckily, you can use a few simple tips and tricks to get more storage space in Disney Dreamlight.

To add storage space to your house, complete Scrooge McDuck’s questline. First, you must visit the plaza and speak with him because he is the only option for upgrading the home, which means he will teach you how to construct things.

Although the house provided by Merlin in the plaza only has 8 storage slots, you can upgrade them to however many you need. So without further ado, start solving the Scrooge quest. I’ve included the mission you need to complete to finish the quest below.

  • Making Cents of Things
  • Scrooge McDuck‘s Grand Re-Opening
  • Dreamlight Valley Economy 101

Upon completion of this questline, you will be able to upgrade your house:

  • 1st Upgrade Costs You 2000 Star Coins (Minor Upgrade)
  • 2nd Upgrade Costs You 20,000 Star Coins (Medium Upgrade)
  • 3rd Upgrade Costs You 75,000 Star Coins (Major Upgrade)

Alternative Way To Upgrade Storage Space (Crafting Storage Chests)

If you’re worried about being able to afford the House Upgrade, don’t be. You can also complete this task by crafting storage chests. Even with this method, you’ll still need to solve Scrooge’s quest. After unlocking the crafting station, strive to get more storage chests and use them in your house for additional space.

How To Craft Storage Chests

For crafting storage chests, you need to get the following things:

  • x25 Softwood
  • x25 Stone

Softwood:

Two locations from which to obtain Softwood are Plaza and Peaceful Meadows. You either gather Softwood from land in any of these locations, or you may harvest it from the trees.

Stone:

Go to any rocky area and mine stone.

How To Place Crafted Storage Chests in Your House

  • Once you have crafted the chest, head back to your house.
  • Open Build mode and select the chest.
  • Place the chest where you want it.

Note: You’ll eventually need to upgrade your home to accommodate more Storage Chests.
