Today, heralded indie publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Zeth reveal a November 15th launch date for their upcoming deceptively cozy, boss-rush-styled adventure, Bound by Blades. Releasing on Windows PC via Steam and GOG, Bound by Blades is an action RPG where intense boss rush-style battles take a front and center seat.

Journey through the realm of Ashmyr, confront ferocious foes, collect loot, and craft new epic gear to fortify yourself for the challenges ahead. This “simple to learn, hard to master” RPG features optional two-player co-op for optimal combat strategizing. After all, slaying monsters is more fun together!

In the newest trailer, solo developer Zeth narrates Bound By Blades’ emphasis on challenging combat, crafting, and co-op. Envisioned as a simple, casual version of a boss-rush experience with a focus on fun, Bound by Blades features satisfying and challenging boss fights coupled with a gorgeous, digitally-drawn world and imaginative characters.

In the slay-and-conquer style of Monster Hunter and Eldest Souls, players defeat powerful enemies, harvest their loot, and use these materials to craft better and stronger equipment. However, Bound by Blades revamps this formula in a way that makes it more approachable and for the casual player. The story of Bound by Blades is set in a high fantasy world where players can choose from three different characters, each featuring their own unique playstyle. Master the game’s unique combat system, battle the evil forces of the Ilcyon, and save the land of Ashmry from certain doom.

The first 2 vs. 2 co-op game in the series!

In the versus mode, players can play against either the computer or other players, and even send bubbles to their opponent’s board and disturb them by erasing or tearing off a large number of bubbles at once.

In this title, players can enjoy not only the traditional 1 vs. 1 battle but also, for the first time in the series, 2 vs. 2 cooperative battles between teams of two players, who can cooperate to erase each others awkward-to-aim-at bubbles and enjoy a more thrilling and faster-paced experience. Players can also play alone against the computer team, or team up with a friend to battle.

Red Door Digital, the Web3-ready game studio and publisher, today announced the date of the upcoming genesis NFT mint for its in-house developed Web3 game Reign of Terror, and also released a gameplay trailer for the tactical MMORPG. Both the gameplay trailer and genesis NFT drop come ahead of the release of Reign of Terror: Awakening, a mining side game with exclusive access for Reign of Terror NFT owners.

Reign of Terror’s genesis NFT mint is set for Tuesday November 8, 2022 on Fractal. The Solana-based NFT marketplace was founded by Twitch co-founder Justin Kan and Google Drive co-founder David Wurtz.

This first tranche of genesis NFTs will feature 515 profile pictures (PFPs) . As a perk for the owners of Reign of Terror’s genesis NFTs, they will gain priority access to Reign of Terror: Awakening. Players will be able to stake their PFPs on missions in the mining side game to receive rewards.

The first 515 NFTs will include 5 classes: Legendary, Royal Court, Government Forces, Armed Forces, and Royalty. The rarest NFTs are Legendary, which allows users to upload their face to their NFT in a process called immortalization. Later rounds will include an agent (player character) drop.

Reign Of Terror Gameplay Trailer And Reign Of Terror: Awakening

Red Door Digital also released the gameplay trailer for tactical MMORPG Reign of Terror today, giving gamers a glimpse of the in-game dynamics and aesthetics. Red Door Digital’s team of gaming industry veterans have developed the title in-house, in a bid to demonstrate how AAA-quality games can bring mass appeal to Web3 games.

With a Southeast Asia-inspired cyberpunk theme, Red Door Digital’s Creative Director Thomas Visscher aims to bring a unique flair to Reign of Terror’s design, to attain the AAA-quality the game studio stands for. Thomas Visscher, creative director at Red Door Digital commented:

The story of Reign of Terror is inspired by the story of crypto itself, the battle between decentralized and centralized factions, as the rebels attempt to dismantle the world’s existing power structures. That comes across in the creative concept, in the design too. We see a lot of propaganda pasted on the walls – it’s an information battle as well as a physical one,

Reign of Terror: Awakening is a mining side game released in advance of the main title, to ensure gamers can start using their NFTs immediately. This side game enables players to check out the gameplay firsthand, as well as the on-chain staking functionality.

Red Door Digital raised US$5 million in seed funding earlier this year. In addition to Reign of Terror, the Web3 game studio and publisher also has a number of other in-house developed games in the pipeline, including racing and battling casual game DinoHorse Saga, and the sci-med battle royale style Project Synth. That’s in addition to a number of partnerships in the works with mainstream and Web3 game companies.

Today KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA announced a 3rd March 2023 worldwide release date for their action-packed dark fantasy, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Team NINJA’s demon-plagued epic will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, on PC via Windows and Steam, and will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass on console and PC.

KOEI TECMO Europe also announced that in addition to the standard version of the game, a special Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Digital Deluxe Edition will be available at the same time, which includes a Season Pass that features three DLC packs. These packs are highlighted by new generals, new demons, new scenarios, new stages, new weapon types, and more. The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes a digital artbook and a digital mini soundtrack. Those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will be rewarded with the Season Pass/DDX bonus: “Qinglong Armor”.

In addition, KOEI TECMO Europe revealed Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s early purchase bonus. Purchase the physical or digital game by 16th March to receive special “Baihu Armor”. Those who pre-order the game digitally will receive both the early purchase bonus along with the pre-order bonus: “Zhuque Armor”.

A limited-edition SteelBook version of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will also be available at launch. The SteelBook Launch Edition includes an exclusive collectible case along with bonus DLC items “Crown of Zhurong” and “Crown of Gonggong”.
