After a successful stint on PC, the murderous cooking sim Godlike Burger is headed towards the next stop on its journey to find the most delicious alien burgers. On November 2nd, players can become a space-travelling chef and manage their intergalactic diner on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox in this dark and humorous management game.

In Godlike Burger players attempt to create the best burger in the galaxy using only the most delicious ingredients available – their own customers! Players have to lure customers into traps and then turn them into delicious patties, manage their restaurant – and avoid getting caught. By catering to their customers’ preferences for different kinds of alien meat, upgrading the kitchen and their repertoire, they improve their restaurant’s reputation and can afford to travel to new planets. But they should never stay in one place too long because the space police are always on the lookout for the crazy culinarian with a bloody cleaver.

In training to become an agent of the mighty and feared Order of Objectivity, better known as the OOO, Hubris transports players to the Twin planet system as they shoot, swim, climb and jump their way through the harsh, alien environment in an adventure critics are already branding as “exactly the kind of game VR needs”.

3D animation and VR specialist Cyborn is excited to confirm that Hubris, the studio’s upcoming VR action-adventure game set to power the genre forward, will launch on Desktop VR platforms on Wednesday 7th December 2022.

Cyborn unveiled the launch date via a short and sweet teaser trailer released today. Hubris’s progressive take on virtual reality impressed the press and content creators alike at this year’s Gamescom back at the end of August.

Players who take on Hubris come December will encounter a VR action-adventure game set in an absorbing and mystical Universe. Serving as a recruit of the Order of Objectivity (or OOO for short) sent to the Twin planet system to search for agent Cyana, simply staying alive in Hubris is a case of shooting, swimming, climbing, and jumping your way through a hostile world in the midst of being terraformed.

With Hubris delivering immersive 3D graphics and motion capture, developer Cyborn set out to use a blend of visuals, sound, and technology to produce unforgettable and engaging worlds. Hubris is a captivating adventure specifically designed from the ground up for VR platforms, allowing players to move around its environment in an all-encompassing, engaging manner.

Hubris will launch on Desktop VR platforms on Wednesday 7th December 2022 for €39.99/£39.99/$39.99. Meta Quest 2, PlayStation VR2, and some other unannounced platforms will be available in 2023.

REPO MAN, an intriguing story-driven RPG set in an alternate world of Art Nouveau, neon lights and conspiracy, will be released on PC in 2023. The developers emphasize, first and foremost, the story and its unique style. The gameplay will offer complex dialogues, negotiation, exploration, combat, and mechanics borrowed from stealth and card games, all combined in an open world. REPO MAN will also be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S at a later date.

The game is being developed by Achara Studios, an independent Polish development team dedicated to narrative-focused titles and high-quality level design. REPO MAN is being built with Unreal Engine 5. The game will be published by Games Box S.A., an affiliate of the Ultimate Games S.A. group.

Achara Studios’ project is a first-person RPG focused on single-player gameplay. It revolves around dialogues, investigation, negotiation, and proper time management. While REPO MAN is driven mainly by its elaborate and multi-layered story, the game will also offer stealth gameplay, a card game, combat, and exploration elements.

Alan Padziński, the CEO of Achara Studios had the following to say about the upcoming game:

Most importantly, this is not another so-called walking simulator. REPO MAN is closer to Torment than Disco Elysium. While developing a game, we make every effort to ensure our title offers diverse and engaging gameplay rather than just the simple clicking of dialogue options

The player plays as Arthur Newstead, a debt collector whose life starts spiraling down when he unexpectedly gets into huge debt himself. Exiled from the world of corporate aristocracy, he’s forced to return to his hometown of San Alma. Newstead is faced not only with the necessity of regular debt repayment but also with mysterious events and schemes escalating each week.

Alan Padziński went on the say the following about the game:

In REPO MAN, we will take players to an alternate reality — a world resembling our own, more developed in some respects while lagging behind in others. It’s a world populated not solely by humans, but also by the Fae — descendants of mythological beings resembling elves, dryads, and satyrs. The people of the planet also have to deal with TDD, an epidemic type of depression, the cause of which remains unknown. That world is closer to its end than its beginning,

The developers envision a unique graphic design with motifs reminiscent of the Art Nouveau style. The distinctive atmosphere of the game is enhanced by an original soundtrack blending together a variety of genres, including synthwave, fado, ethnic, and symphonic music.

Tomasz Supeł, the CEO of Games Box S.A. mentioned the following regarding the game:

REPO MAN is among the more intriguing titles to be released in 2023. It may appeal to those who enjoy gameplay similar to that of Planescape: Torment or Disco Elysium, and in terms of presentation it will please fans of the BioShock series, Deus Ex, Dishonored, and such,

Originally slated for November 16th, prospective administrators will now begin their DOLOS-approved mission in Ixion on December 7th, 2022 for PC.

IXION challenges players to guide the Tiqqun space station onwards on a perilous journey to find a new home for humanity following the catastrophic collapse of the Earth. Following the game’s recent Best Strategy title at the Gamescom Awards and subsequent Best Strategy PC game triumph at the NYX awards, the development team has been working on finalizing the game.

Christian Woolford, Producer at Kasedo Games had the following to say about the game:

From day one, we have wanted to deliver a stand-out game in the strategy genre and the reception so far has been amazing. The Astronauts announced today that their dark fantasy shooter, Witchfire, is now on track for release in early 2023. Initially slated to launch to Early Access on the Epic Games Store in Q4 of 2022, the shift in schedule is due to an upgrade to Witchfire’s combat system from arena-style to open-world fighting.

Creative Director and Co-Founder, Adrian Chmielarz mentioned the following regarding the game:

The feature is now 95% implemented. It makes the game better. It is kind of hard for me to imagine the player did not have that freedom before. Sure, you can still be trapped by the witch in this or that spot, and some doors will be closed until you find a key, and it might be too dangerous to enter areas closer to the boss before you are ready– but the world is wide open for you to explore in almost any order, and you can both push forward and retreat as you please.

From the creators of Painkiller and Bulletstorm, Witchfire is a first-person shooter set in a grimdark fantasy world. First announced in the 2017 Game Awards, and re-revealed in Summer Game Fest 2022, it will be the second release for The Astronauts, following the BAFTA award-winning title, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.

The Astronauts assure fans that the highly anticipated title will be worth the wait: Witchfire boasts AAA Unreal Engine graphics with photogrammetry effects to create an immersive fantasy world, and gripping first-person gunplay— now with open-world combat environments. Chmielarz went on to mention the following:

Last but not least, expect something nice in a week or two. Let’s call it Witchfire Halloween Week. It won’t be any gameplay footage or stream or such, but if you are interested in the story and the world and great 2D art, it’s going to be a treat.

Developer MIXI, Inc is excited to announce that Asym Altered Axis, a Cross-genre Asymmetric Heist Game, is hosting its first Alpha Test from October 18th 20:00 (PDT). Anyone can join the Alpha Test by requesting playtest access from its Steam page.

Ahead of its Alpha Test, MIXI, Inc has also debuted a new Alpha Test Trailer showing off the tense strategy mechanics and high-octane action to be had.

Yas Hayakawa, the producer of Asym Altered Axis said the following regarding the game:

We’re so excited to finally be able to invite players to the Alpha playtest because their feedback is invaluable. With a game like Asym where two totally different genres are colliding, players can choose which side they want to play. This allows Asym to embrace players with different play styles and create a shared space where players with different preferences can enjoy the game together.

In this Alpha Test, players will be able to experience the cross-genre battle, the core gameplay of Asym. You can take part from October 18th 20:00 to October 23rd 23:59 (PDT). You can request access from Asym’s Steam page.

Since this Alpha Test is conducted with the servers in the US, users might experience a slight delay in the gameplay depending on the region
Matchmaking may take time depending on the time of day and the number of participants in the test.

What Is Asym Altered Axis

Asym Altered Axis is a Cross-genre Asymmetric Heist Game between two different genres: real-time strategy base defense and co-op stealth action base raiding. The game is set in the near future and the players are immigrants to “Asym”, another digital world that exists in parallel with the devastating reality where players are fighting over digital resources called Cells.

Strategy players are called Protectors and they set their own stages with traps to protect valuable Nexus. Action players called the Infiltrators form a team to steal Cells and escape.

The Role of Protector

The Protector sets a level filled with traps and units which the active player team will have to carefully infiltrate to steal the valuable Nexus. By using the Cell earned as a reward from each game round, the Protector can purchase new traps and objects to fortify and protect the Nexus.

Each game round starts in total darkness with the Protector searching for the neon-glowing Infiltrators, tracking them with a spotlight from the skies. The Protector can hurl fireballs and summon guards, as well as set a huge swathe of terrain ablaze to cut off an escape route.

The Role of Infiltrators

The Infiltrator can sneak in alone or go in guns blazing with up to 5 friends. The heist crew will infiltrate the Protector’s stage, starting off under the cover of darkness. They can use smoke grenades and sidearms to evade detection and eliminate patrolling guards, and can even transform into an animal for a limited time by triggering Ultimate to make quick getaways.

If any Infiltrator is discovered or the Nexus is stolen, the stage will suddenly light up and all traps will become active, dramatically changing the pace of the game from tense stealth action into a flashy cat-and-mouse chase! Stealing Nexus will land you a huge payout of Cells but you need to escape from the portal to secure the Cells you’ve stolen.
