Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Low Level Fatal Error Fix, Memory Could Not Be Read, Crash, Stuttering, Unreal Engine Exiting Fix

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order PC version is not a perfect port and is facing errors and issues like low-level fatal error or LowLevelFatalError, black screen, crash at launch, Memory Could Not Be Read and more. Here I have compiled a list of Jedi Fallen Order errors along with their possible fixes and workarounds.

Jedi Fallen Order Crash, Black Screen And Fixes

After a long while, we finally got a worthwhile single-player Star Wars game in the shape of Jedi Fallen Order. Respawn Entertainment developed the game using the Unreal Engine 4.

However, the PC version of the game is facing error and issues like Memory Could Not Be Read, crashing at launch, Fatal Error and more.

The following are the errors and issues that Jedi Fallen Order players are experiencing along with their fixes and workarounds.

Fatal Error, LowLevelFatalError Fix

Players are reporting that when they try to play Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, they get a Low-Level Fatal error either at launch or randomly while playing.

If you are getting the “LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 3365] Pak Decompression failed” error at launch then just verify game files and the issue will be resolved.

If the Fatal Error you are encountering is different in nature or is popping up randomly while playing the game, then the issue might be the driver or the GPU. Try installing a different driver version and the issue should resolve.

However, chances are, your GPU is old or isn’t powerful enough to handle Jedi Fallen Order at 60 FPS or variable FPS or, you have overclocked your GPU.

One fix is to just lock the game at 30 FPS. To do that, open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings. Select the game from the list and set vertical sync to “adaptive half refresh-rate”. Start the game and set the display to fullscreen and disable in-game vertical sync.

If you have overclocked your GPU or it’s factory overclocked then revert its clock speed back to its default and the issue will be resolved and you won’t have to lock Jedi Fallen Order at 30 FPS.

Stuttering, Performance Fix

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order PC version isn’t a perfect port and is facing low fps, stuttering and general performance issues. Here are some workarounds that might eliminate stuttering and potentially boost FPS.

Obviously, make sure you have installed the latest GPU drivers and terminate any background process that is using too much of your CPU or HDD. Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings. Select the game and make the following changes.

Set “Power Management Mode” to “Prefer Maximum Performance”
Set “Texture Filtering- Quality” to “High Performance”

If you have at least a high-end CPU then there is another thing you can try. Follow the steps above to Program settings and set the game’s “Vertical Sync” to “Fast”. Start the game and disable in-game vertical sync and the display should be Fullscreen.

This allows the GPU to render Frames without any restriction and screen tearing and basically emulates G-sync. However, the GPU won’t show FPS higher than your display’s refresh rate even if the GPU is rendering the game at 90 FPS. This is a great way to eliminate stuttering from the game but you need at least A GTX 10 series GPU and a capable CPU.

Black Screen Fix

According to players, when they start the game it just shows a black screen with audio playing in the background. To fix this, start the game and when the black screen appears, press “Alt +Enter”. The game will go into windowed mode and will start to display. Go to video settings and change the resolution and you’ll be able to play in Fullscreen.

Unreal Engine Exiting Due To D3D Device Lost Fix

This is another Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order that players are experiencing while playing the game. One possible reason for the game to crash with D3D Device lost error is that the GPU might not be able to render the game properly or your DirectX library is corrupted.

Update DirectX and the issue should resolve. If this doesn’t resolve the issue then the culprit might be the GPU. Lock the game at 30 FPS and the error will not bother you ever again. Look under “Fatal Error Fix” to see how to lock Jedi Fallen Order at 30 FPS.

Memory Could Not Be Read Fix

Player sare reporting that they are getting the “The instruction at 0x64dcfe98 referenced memory at 0x00000004. The memory could not be read” error while trying to launch it are unable to play the game.

The error is pretty self-explanatory and is related to your RAM. One fix is that, open Task Manager and terminate any process or program that is using a huge chunk of your RAM. This will resolve the problem. If the error still persists then, increase the amount of virtual memory.

Crash At Launch, Game Not Launching Fix

For some players, the game is randomly crashing while playing or just crashing at launch. Here are a few fixes and workarounds that might help you with the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order crashing issue.

One reason for the Jedi Fallen to crash could be your anti-virus or Windows Defender. The anti-virus might be detecting the game’s exe as a virus and thus is blocking it from executing. Either disable your anti-virus or make an exception for the game’s folder in your anti-virus and the issue will be resolved.

Another culprit behind Jedi Fallen crashing could be third-party monitoring software like MSI Afterburner or GeForce Experience.

Disable them and the crash at launch issue should be resolved. However, if you are using MSI Afterburner and disabling it hasn’t fixed it yet then, follow the steps below.

  • Open RivaTuner Statistics Server(RTSS).
  • Click the Add button and navigate to the game’s folder.
  • Add Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order’s exe under Application profile properties.
  • Set Application detection level to None for the game application.
  • Close RivaTuner Statistics Server.

The game not having the administrative right could also be the reason for the game to crash. Right-click on the game’s exe > properties > compatibility tab > check “Run this program as administrator”. This should get the game running.

That is all for our Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order fixes for errors like Low-Level Fatal Error, stuttering, Unreal Engine Exiting and more.

Need For Speed Heat DirectX Error Fix, Stuttering, Black Screen, Crash At Launch, No Audio Fix

Need For Speed Heat PC version is facing errors and issues like DirectX error, stuttering, crashing and more. Here I have compiled a list of NFS Heat errors and issues along with their fixes and workarounds

Need For Speed Heat Black Screen, Crash, And Fixes

Need For Speed Heat is finally here on PC and consoles. The game takes the best parts of the recent NFS titles and creates a unique experience. With the game being delayed a year, one would expect that the devs would have done a better job optimizing the game.

However, that’s not the case as NFS Heat is facing errors and issues like crashing at launch, black screen, DirectX error and more. The following are the Need for Speed Heat errors along with their possible fixes and workarounds.

DirectX Error Fix

This is an error that Need For Speed players have been complaining about. In most cases, such an error occurs on a relatively older GPU.

But, in the game case of Need for Speed Heat, the DirectX error, followed by a crash is occurring for players with the latest GPUs and CPUs.

While developers are looking into the problem, here is a workaround that might help you. One reason why DirectX error occurs is that GPU isn’t capable of handling the game at max graphics setting.

You can avoid this error by locking the game at 30 FPS. Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings. Select the game from the list and set vertical sync to “Adaptive half refresh-rate”.

Start the game and disable in-game v.sync and set the display mode at Fullscreen and the game will be locked at 30 FPS. This will reduce the load on both the GPU and the CPU resulting in much more stable performance.

FPS Drop, Stuttering Fix

Performance is often the issue with PC video games and Need For Speed Heat PC is no exception. Players are reporting that the game stutters constantly while playing.

Here are a few things that might help eliminate stuttering from Need For Speed Heat PC. First, install the latest GPU drivers and make sure there is no process running in the background using too much CPU or HDD.

Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings. Select the game from the list and set “Power Management Mode” to “Prefer Maximum Performance” and set “Texture Filtering- Quality” to “High Performance”.

Those with at least GTX 10 series can try another thing. Follow the steps above and set vertical sync to “Fast”. Start the game and disable in-game v.sync and set the display mode to Fullscreen.

Black Screen Fix

Black screen is a common issue with PC games and apparently, Need for Speed Heat is no exception. Players are reporting that when they start the game they only get a black screen while they can hear the audio in the background.

To fix this, start the game and when the black screen appears, press “Alt + Enter”. The game will go into Windowed mode and will start to display. Go to video settings and set the resolution which is native to your display and you can play in Fullscreen.

If this doesn’t resolve the black screen, then chances are you have overclocked your GPU or the GPU is factory overclocked. Revert the clock speeds back to their default value and the issue should be resolved.

Partial Audio, No Audio Fix

Players are reporting no-audio and partial audio issues with NFS Heat. One possible reason for this issue could be that you have enabled Windows Sonic for Headphones. Just disable it and the game’s audio should work. To disable Windows Sonic for Headphones, right-click on the speaker icon > spacial sound and select off.

As for the game players only getting partial sound in the game. Chances are you haven’t set the right channels for your speakers or headphones. Open “Change system sounds” > playback devices > select your active audio device > click on “Configure”. Select the right audio channel for your audio device and hit next. This will resolve the partial sound issue with the Need for Speed Heat.

Crash At Launch, Crash Fix

Players are reporting that the game crashes randomly while playing and for some, the game just crashes at launch or doesn’t launch at all. here are a few fixes that will help you play the game.

Let’s start with the game crashing. one possible reason for NFS Heat to crash is the prolonged gaming session. Restart your system and the game will be fine.

One possible reason for NFS Heat to crash at launch or not launching at all could be your anti-virus of Windows Defender. The anti-virus might be detecting the game’s exe as a virus. Either disable the anti-virus or make an exception for the game’s exe in your anti-virus to solve this issue.

Another reason for the game crashing at launch is the lack of administrative rights. Right-click on the game’s exe > properties > compatibility > check “run this program an administrator”.

Third-party software like MSI Afterburner or GeForce experience might also be the reason for the game’s crashing at launch issue. Disable them and the game should run fine.

That is all for our Need For Speed Heat fixes for errors and issues like DirectX error, crash at launch, stuttering, low FPS and more.

Dev Error 6165 Fix

This COD Modern Warfare error can be fixed by reinstalling the game and clean install your my GPU drivers. At the time of writing, there is no other workaround for this DEV Error 6165.

Crash Fix

With the launch of Modern Warfare Warzone, many players have reported random crashes while playing the game. Here is how to fix Modern Warfare Warzone crashes.

The first fix is simple. With the Warzone update, for a lot of players, Modern Warfare’s priority is set at High. Start the game and then open Task Manager > Details tab. Right-click on the Modern Warfare exe and set priority to Normal. This will fix the game’s cashing issue.

If the game is still crashing then close Blizzard client. Open Task Manager and if you see agent.exe running, terminate it. Now press “Windows + R”, type %ProgramData% and press enter. A new window will open and if you find a Blizzard Entertainment folder then just delete it. Start Battle.net and verify game files. This will resolve the crash at launch issues for you.

Dev Error 6068 Fix

According to Call of Duty Modern Warfare players, they are experiencing “Dev Error 6068 – DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error” while trying to play the game. To fix this error, make the following changes.

  • Set refresh rate and FPS limit to match my monitors
  • Made sure you have latest Windows Update
  • Turn off GPU overclock and reverted back to stock clocks
  • Turn off XBOX Game Bar
  • Turn off RTX
  • Turned off MSI Afterburner and all other overlay apps
  • Set game to HIGH CPU PRIORITY on Task Manager
  • Set particles setting to Low

If you don’t like reducing the game’s settings then you can potentially resolve this issue by locking Call of Duty Modern Warfare at 30 FPS. Open Nvidia Control panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings.

Select the game from the list and set vertical sync to “Adaptive Half Refresh Rate”. Apply the change, start the game and disable Vertical sync in-game and the game will be locked at 30 FPS. This will reduce the CPU and GPU usage resulting in stable performance.

Crash At Launch Fix

According to Players, when they start Call of duty Modern Warfare it just crashes at launch or doesn’t launch without any error. Here are a few fixes that might help you.

One reason for the game to crash at launch could be your anti-virus software or Windows Defender detecting the game’s exe as Trojan. Either disable your anti-virus software or make an exception for COD MW exe in your anti-virus software and the issue will be resolved.

If this doesn’t work for you, then the culprit might be third-party monitoring software like MSI Afterburner or GeForce Experience. Disable these and the game should work fine.

However, if you were using MSI Afterburner and disabling it hasn’t solved the issue then follow the steps below.

  • Open RivaTuner Statistics Server(RTSS).
  • Click the Add button and navigate to the game’s folder.
  • Add Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s exe under Application profile properties.
  • Set Application detection level to None for the game application.
  • Close RivaTuner Statistics Server.

100% CPU Usage Fix

To fix 100% CPU usage for COD Modern Warfare, go to “C:\Users\ YOUR NAME \Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players”.

Here you need to edit two files namely config.cfg and config-C7XXXXXX.cfg. Open these files and look for “setcl 895653276”. Now check that the resolution in front of this line is the same as your monitor’s display resolution.

If it’s set to a high resolution then change it to your monitor’s native resolution. Save it and run the game and the 100% CPU usage will be resolved.

If the set resolution is the same as your monitor’s native resolution, then you can try locking the game at 30 FPS to reduce the CPU usage. Open Nvidia Control panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings.

Select the game from the list and set vertical sync to “Adaptive Half Refresh-Rate”. Apply the change, start the game and disable Vertical sync in-game and the game will be locked at 30 FPS.

Reportedly, COD Modern Warfare 2019 sets its priority to high by default which causes the CPU usage to increase. One potential fix for this is that start the game and then open Task Manager > Details tab. Right-click on the game’s process and set priority to “Normal”.

That is all for our Call of Duty Modern Warfare fixes for errors like Dev errors, crash at launch, Fatal Error, Dev Error 6071 and more.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint Stuttering Fix, Random Crashes, 100% CPU Usage, No Audio, Crash At Launch Fix

Ghost Recon Breakpoint PC players are facing errors and issues like random crashes, no audio, stuttering, low FPS, and more. Here I have compiled a list of errors that players are experiencing with the game along with their fixes and workarounds.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint Black Screen, Crash, And Fixes

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the latest entry in the long-running franchise. The PC version of the game isn’t particularly well-optimized. Ghost Recon Breakpoint is facing issues like 100% CPU usage, random crashes, crash at launch, no audio, low FPS, stuttering and more.

The following are the Ghost Recon Breakpoint errors along with their possible fixes and workarounds.

Black Screen At Launch Fix

Players are reporting that when they start Ghost Recon Breakpoint, all they get is a black screen while the audio is playing in the background. This is a simple issue of the game setting a higher default resolution than your native display resolution.

To fix this, start the game and when the black screen appears, press “ALT + Enter”. The game will go into the windowed mode and will start to display. Now go to the video setting and set the proper resolution for Ghost Recon Breakpoint and you’ll be able to play it in fullscreen.

Crash Fix

Players have reported that Ghost Recon Breakpoint is crashing randomly while playing even though they have high-end systems. The game is mostly crashing for those who are running the game on an overclocked GPU.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint has an issue with overclocked GPUs and crashes constantly. Just revert the GPU back to its default clock speeds and voltages and Ghost Recon Breakpoint will stop crashing.

If you don’t want to mess with your GPU or don’t know how to revert back then you can fix this crash issue by locking the game at 30 FPS. You can just simply lock Ghost Recon Breakpoint at 30 FPS from the in-game menu.

However, for some the in-game 30 FPS limiter will create micro-stuttering. For those players, instead of using in-game FPS limiter, open Nvidia Control panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings.

Select the game from the list and set vertical sync to “AdaptiveHalf Refresh Rate”. Apply the change, start the game and disable Vertical sync in-game and the game will be locked at 30 FPS with any kind of micro stuttering. However, this will only work if you have set your monitor refresh rate to 60 Hz.

Given that it locks the FPS at your display’s half-refresh rate, if you have a 120 Hz monitor, it’ll lock it at 60. So make sure, the game is running at 60 Hz when applying half-refresh rate.

Resolution Not Changing Fix

This is a tricky one, players are unable to change their resolution as it’s greyed out. While Ubisoft is looking into the issue, at the time of writing, the only workaround to this problem is to play in Windowed Mode and even then you will have two only two options.

One thing the might fix this Ghost Recon Breakpoint Resolution problem is that go to My Documents > My Games and delete the Ghost Recon Breakpoint folder.

100% CPU Usage Fix

CPU usage has been a problem for almost all of the Ubisoft games lately and Ghost Recon Breakpoint is no exception. The only workaround to this 1005 CPU usage issue is to lock the game at FPS lowe than 60. I would suggest locking the game at 30 FPS and it’ll drastically reduce the CPU usage. Check the crash fix above where I have explained how to lock the game at 30 FPS.

Game Not Launching, Crash At Startup Fix

Players are reporting that when they try to play Ghost Recon Breakpoint it just crashes. There could be multiple reasons for this issue and here are the fixes and workarounds.

Some players who played the beta for Ghost Recon Breakpoint are facing this crash at launch issue. To fix this, go to the game’s install folder and delete the “DataPC_TGT_WorldMap.forge”. Start the game and it should be running fine.

If this doesn’t solve the problem, then your anti-virus software or Windows Defender might be detecting the game’s exe file as Trojan. Fix this by either disabling your anti-virus or create an exception for the game’s folder in your anti-virus program. After that, verify game files and it should be running fine.

If you are part of the Windows Insider program, that can also cause the game to crash at launch. Opt-out of the program and the issue will be fixed.

Another reason for Ghost Recon Breakpoint Crashing at startup could be the game doesn’t have administrative rights. Go to the install folder, right-click on the games exe, select properties, go to the compatibility tab, and check “Run this program as an administrator”. Apply the changes and the issue will be resolved.

Third-party Monitoring software like MSI Afterburner or GeForce Experience could also be the culprit behind these crashes at launch. Diable them and the game should start.

If you have disabled MSI Afterburner and Ghost Recon Breakpoint persists on crashing at launch, then follow the instructions below.

  • Open RivaTuner Statistics Server(RTSS).
  • Click the Add button and navigate to the game’s folder.
  • Add Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s exe under Application profile properties.
  • Set Application detection level to None for the game application.
  • Close RivaTuner Statistics Server.

Low FPS, Performance, Stuttering Fix

Ghost Recon Breakpoint isn’t exactly a well-optimized game. With the game having 100% CPU usage among other issues, it can cause stuttering and Low FPS while playing. Here are a few things that will help you eliminate stuttering and will possibly give you an FPS boost.

One thing that is causing the stuttering issue with Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a having a different resolution in-game then your desktop resolution. make sure both resolutions are the same.

Also, install the latest GPU drivers as they bring game-specific optimizations, Open Task Manager and make sure there is no process that is using too much of your HDD or CPU.

If the CPU usage is above 25%, then find the process using the CPU and terminate it if you can. If your CPU usage is between 10-25% then it’s normal.

Open Nvidia Control Panel > > Manage 3d Settings > Program Settings. Select Ghost Recon Breakpoint from the list and set “Power Management Mode” to “Prefer Maximum Performance” and set“Texture Filtering- Quality” to “High Performance”. This will eliminate stuttering from the game.

Audio Fixes

According to players, they are getting no sound or partial audio while playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Here are the fixes for this audio issue.

Go to the game’s install folder and delete the “sounddata” folder. Verify the game files so it will download the folder again. Start the game and the audio issue should be resolved.

Another reason for the no audio or partial audio could be Windows Sonic for headphones being enabled. Right-click on the audio icon in the bottom right of the desktop, and set Spatial Sound to off.

Those using the 7.1 headphones might also face this audio bug with Ghost Recon Breakpoint. You can fix this by either changing the audio settings to stereo or switch the output to speakers in-game and the issue will be resolved.

That is all for our Ghost Recon Breakpoint fixes for errors and issues like stuttering, crash at launch, no audio, resolution not changing and more.

Borderlands 3 Crash At Startup Fix, 88500000 Error, No Audio, Low CPU Usage, Broken Audio, Not Launching On Windows 7 Fix

The PC version of Borderlands 3 is a fairly optimized port. Despite that, Borderlands 3 PC version is facing errors like Error Code LS-0013, 88500000 Error, no audio, crashes, the game not starting and more. Here I have compiled a list of Borderlands 3 errors along with their fixes and workarounds.

Borderlands 3 No Audio, Low FPS, And Fixes

Borderlands 3 has launched for PC and consoles and critics are loving the game so far. Even though the Steam release of Borderlands 3 had a year but it still has a lot of errors and issues like Error Code LS-0013, crash at launch, no audio, black bars during cutscenes, unable to switch to DirectX 11 and more.

The following are the errors and issues that players are experiencing along with their possible fixes and workarounds.

Low CPU Usage, Low FPS Fix

Players have reported that when they play Borderlands 3, the FPS is unreasonably low despite having recommended specs or above.

This is due to the low CPU usage by the game itself. Follow the instructions below to fix the low FPS and low CPU usage.

open Task Manager while the game is running and follow the following instructions.

  • Open Task Manager and expand it by clicking on “more details”
  • Go to Details tab
  • Locate the game in the running processes
  • Right-click on it and set priority to High

This will resolve the low CPU usage and low FPS in Borderlands 3.

Crash Fix

Borderlands 3 is facing some issues and crashes are one of them. Players are reporting the game either crashes randomly during gameplay. Here are a few fixes that might help you with Borderlands 3 crashes.

According to gamers, Borderlands 3 crashes randomly after playing it for 5-10 minutes. The reason behind these crashes could be that you are running the game in Windowed mode. Switch your display mode to fullscreen and the issue will resolve.

For some players, the game is crashing during the intro videos. The reason for the game to crash could be that you haven’t updated your BIOS. Update the BIOS and the crashes should stop.

If the game is still crashing then TURN OFF any sort of spatial audio/virtual 7.1 surround sound. For Windows 10, right-click on the audio icon in the bottom right corner. Hover the cursor over Spatial sound and select off.

Another way to do it by opening Settings > System > Sound. Click on “Sound Control Panel” to the right. Select your active audio device and click properties. Under the “spatial sound” tab select off from the drop-down menu and the issue will be resolved.

Another reason for these random crashes could be the thrid-party software like MSI Afterburner or GeForce Experience. Disable any third-party software you are using the Borderlands will stop crashing.

In case, you are using MSI Afterburner and disabling it hasn’t resolved anything. Follow the instructions below.

  • Open RivaTuner Statistics Server(RTSS).
  • Click the Add button and navigate to the game’s folder.
  • Add Borderlands 3’s exe under Application profile properties.
  • Set Application detection level to None for the game application.
  • Close RivaTuner Statistics Server.

These fixes should resolve random crashes while playing Borderlands 3 on PC.

Crash At Startup, Game Not Launching Fix

As for the crash at launch issue. It could be that the game doesn’t have administrator rights. Right-click on the game’s exe > Properties > Compatibility Tab > Check “Run this program as an administrator”. Doing this should resolve the crash at launch issue with the game.

Another reason for the game to crash is probably your anti-virus software or Windows Defender detecting the game’s exe file as a Trojan virus.

To fix this, you either need to make an exception for the game’s exe file in your anti-virus software or disable it. This will resolve your crash at startup problem with Borderlands 3.

Also, if you are using a preview build of Windows 10 as part of the Windows Insider Program, then it might be the culprit for the crash at startup issue with Borderlands 3. Just leave the Insider Program and the game should run fine.

Go to the Steam folder and navigate to “Steam>Steamapps>common>Borderlands3>OakGame>Binaries>Win64”. Double-click on BL3.exe and if you get the “Application won’t start due to x3daudio1_7.dll is missing or “xapofx1_5.dll” error. Then just download and update DirectX and the issue will be resolved. Otherwise, you can just download the missing file from the internet and just place it in the folder where BL3.exe is located. The game will start working.

Unable to initialize Steam API Fix

Players are reporting they get “Unable to initialize Steam API” error while starting Borderland 3. There are a couple of reasons behind this error and here are the fixes.

If you are using the old Steam library then it’s also one of the reasons behind this particular Borderlands 3 error. You just need to update Steam to the new library. Go the Steam’s install folder and delete the “Package” folder and “steam.cfg”. Start Steam and it’ll automatically update to the new library. This will resolve the error and you’ll be able to play the game.

Another reason for this error is the lack of administrative rights for the Windows account you are using. Use a Windows account with administrative rights. If you are using an admin account then right-click on Steam’s exe > Properties > Compatibility tab > check “Run this program as an administrator”. Do the same for Borderlands 3 exe. Start the game and it will be working fine.

Game Not launching On Windows 7, kernel32.dll Fix

Players are reporting that when they launch Borderlands from Steam the game doesn’t start and if they navigate to the game’s install folder and launch the game from there they get “AddDllDirectory could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll” error on Windows 7.

This can be fixed by installing the Windows 7 KB2533623 update. After installing the update open CMD, type “Run sfc /scannow” and press enter. Once the scan is complete, restart your PC and then you’ll b able to play Borderland 3.

No Audio, Sound Fixes

Players have reported a couple of audio issues with Borderlands 3. Some are experiencing no audio while playing the game while some are facing the issue where the audio just breaks up during gameplay.

For the no audio issue in Borderlands 3, the culprit is actually the Spatial Sounds. Right-click on the audio icon on the bottom right of your Desktop. Disable Spatial sound if it’s set to “Windows Sonic for Headphones”.

As for the audio breaking up, it’s probably the audio quality setting in Windows that the game is unable to handle. Open the search bar and search for “Change System Sounds”.

Go to Playback Devices and select your active audio device and click on properties. Go to the advanced tab and select a lower value from the drop-down list compared to the current one. These fixes should resolve your audio issues with Borderlands 3.

x3daudio1_7.dll Missing, xapofx1_5.dll Missing Fix

According to players, when they launch Borderlands 3 on Steam they get the “Application won’t start due to x3daudio1_7.dll is missing or xapofx1_5.dll missing” Error. This can easily be fixed by updating DirectX.

Another fix for the error is just downloading the missing DLL file and just placing it in “Steam>Steamapps>common>Borderlands3>OakGame>Binaries>Win64”. This will resolve the issue and Borderlands 3 will become playable.

Video Driver Crashed Fix

Steam players are reporting that they are getting “Video Driver was Crashed and Was Reset or recovered” while playing Borderlands 3. This error is most probabaly popping up due to an overclocked or an old GPU. Even if you have a factory overclocked GPU then use MSI Afterburner to revert the GPU back to its stock clocks and the error will be fixed.

Unable to Switch To DX 11

Players are reporting that when they switched to DirectX 12 while playing Borderlands 3, the game doesn’t launch at all. This can be fixed by switching to DirectX 11 but, they are unable to do it since the game won’t launch.

To switch to DirectX 11 for Borderlands 3 and resolve the game not launching issue, go to “C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 3\Saved”. Open “GameUserSettings.ini” in notepad and look for “PreferredGraphicsAPI” and set it to “PreferredGraphicsAPI=DX11”. Start the game and it should be running fine.

Error Code LS-0013, 88500000 Error Fix

Both of these Borderlands 3 errors are stopping players from playing the game. But, there are fixes for both of these errors.

For Error Code LS-0013, go the game’s install folder > Oriongame > Binaries > Win64. Here you will find a file named “Orion-Client-Win64-Shipping.exe”.

Right-click on the file, select properties and go to the compatibility tab. Uncheck the “Run this program as an administrator”, apply the changes and start the game and this error won’t bother you again.

As for the 88500000 Error, this pops up due to the Epic Games client not being updated. Update the client and the error will go away.

Black Bars In Cutscenes Fix

This issue is occurring for those players who are playing Borderlands 3 in Ultrawide displays. Just go to advanced video settings and disable “FidelityFX sharpening” and the black bars will go away.

100% GPU Usage Fix

Players are reporting that even on an RTX 2080Ti they are getting 100% CPU usage and 80+ degree temperature. This leads to Borderlands 3 crashing.

One possibility is that your GPU is overclocked. Just revert it back to its default clock speeds and the issue will be resolved.

However, If the GPU is not overclocked then this can be resolved by locking the game at 30 FPS. For that, you need the latest Nvidia GPU driver.

Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings. Select the game from the drop-down menu and scroll through the options. You need to turn on “Max FPS Limit”, set it at 30 and apply the change. This will significantly reduce the GPU and CPU load. you’ll notice lower GPU usage and temperature.

Failed To Save Settings Fix

According to players, when they start the game “Failed To Save Settings” error pops up and no matter what they chose it won’t let them get past it and play the Borderlands 3.

To fix this, disable Windows Defender Ramson Protection. Also, exclude the Epic Games folders in “C:\Program Files” and “C:\Program Files x86” from Windows Defender Virus and Threat Protection settings. After that, do the following for both Epic Games folders.

  • Right-click on the folder and select “Properties”
  • Uncheck “Read Only”

Broken Textures Fix

According to players, when they start the game, it looks fine but after 5 mins the textures start to break up. Delete the Config file by going to “C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 3\Saved” and the issue will be resolved.

Stuttering, Performance Fix

Stuttering is a common issue in PC games and here are a few things that might help you boost the FPS and eliminate stuttering from Borderlands 3.

Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3d Settings > Program Settings. Select the game and change the following.

Set “Power Management Mode” to “Prefer Maximum Performance”
Set“Texture Filtering- Quality” to “High Performance”.
Set Vertical Sync to “On”

Start the game and disable in-game V.sync. This should eliminate stuttering in Borderlands 3.

If you are still facing stuttering or FPS drops then follow the steps above and set Vertical Sync to “Fast”. Again, disable in-game v.sync and display mode should be set at “Fullscreen”. This should fix the stuttering and give you an FPS boost if you have a moderate enough CPU and GPU.

That is all for our Borderlands 3 errors and fixes for low CPU usage, no audio, crashes and more. If you are interested in learning more about the game then you can check out our guide on how you can beat all the bosses in the game. You can also check out our Neon Arterial Crew Challenges Guide.

NBA 2K20 is the latest entry in the franchise and a controversial one. However, the PC version of the game is not perfect by any stretch and players are experiencing errors and issues like Low FPS, missing .dll files and crashes.

The following are the errors and issues that players are experiencing along with their possible fixes and workarounds.

Sim To Next Appearance Fix

Players are experiencing issues with creating a new character. Here are a couple of fixes that will resolve this problem.

For the first fix, all you have to do is lock the game at 60 Hz and turn on the Vertical Sync and the issue will resolve.

For the second fix, while creating the character, Alt + Tab multiple times until the game slows down allowing you to simulate. Both fixes will resolve the problem.

Crash At Launch, Crash Fix

Players are reporting that either NBA 2K20 doesn’t launch or it just crashes randomly. Here are the fixes for the game’s random crashes and crash on startup.

A lot of players are experiencing the crash on startup or game not launching at all. The reason could be your anti-virus software or Windows Defender detecting the game’s exe file as Trojan.

To fix this you can disable your anti-virus software or make an exception for the game’s exe file in your anti-virus software. This will resolve the game not launching issue for you.

Another reason for NBA 2K20 to crash at launch could be that you haven’t installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 and installing Visual C++ 2015 redistributables or they are corrupted. Download them and install/repair them and the game will start working.

As for the random crashes, this could be due to you using third-party monitoring software like MSI Afterburner or a utility like GeForce Experience. Just disable any third-party utility of monitoring software you are using and the crashing issue should resolve.

Low FPS, Performance Fix

NBA 2K20 PC version isn’t a perfect port and it shows with the performance issues the game is facing. There are a couple of things that you can do to improve performance and eliminate stuttering from the game.

Blair Witch PC: Audio Bug, Black Screen Error, White Tree Bug

Blair Witch is a great game but it does have some major bugs on PC that can spoil the experience. Here we are going to look at some of the errors that you might encounter when playing Blair Witch on PC, including the audio bug, black screen error and White tree bug.

Blair Witch PC Errors And How You Can Fix Them

The game is relatively new and the team is working on a new patch that should make most of these issues go away but in the meantime, the following are the workarounds that you can use for the different issues of the game.

Audio Bug

If you are playing Blair Which with decent headphones that you might have the bug in with which you do not get any audio. If that is the case then you should turn off 5.1 or 7.1 audio in order to fix the issue. You should also turn off surround sound features in Windows 10. If this does not work then you can try using the audio troubleshoot to fix the issue in Windows 10.

Black Screen When Starting New Game

If you launch Blair Witch on PC then you might get a Black screen. If that is the case then be sure to delete the save files and try again. You should also have the latest graphics drivers in order to get the best experience in-game. If you still encounter this issue then you might be better off waiting for the patch.

White Tree Bug

If you have encountered the White Tree bug then know that this is a very rare bug but there is a way around it. All you need to do is load the latest save file that you have. That should make the issue go away when playing Blair Witch on PC.

Chapter 15 Bug

Not being able to enter the cave is also a bug that is very rare and frustrating. The workaround is to get a save file that does not have this bug but you can also wait for the patch if you cannot get a save file.

FPS Problems

If you have a G-Sync display then you can try turning V-Sync off. Other than that, the game just came out and is not very well optimized for PC. You should try using the latest drivers and if that does not help then you should wait for the official patch.

If you are interested in knowing more about the game then be sure to check out our guides on how you can enter the bunker and how you can leave the abandoned bunker. You can also check out our review of the game.

Hunt Showdown Crash On Startup Fix, Easy Anti-Cheat, Fatal, 1392 Errors, Performance Fix

Hunt Showdown spent a lot of time in Steam’s early access and the game has finally come out of it. However, Hunt Showdown PC version is till facing errors and issues like the crash on startup, fatal error, performance issues and more. Here I have compiled a list of Hunt Showdown errors along with their possible fixes and workarounds.

Hunt Showdown Black Screen, Stuttering, And Fixes

Hunt Showdown is the latest game from Crytek and it has finally launched after spending a few years in early access. Despite the game being fully developed with player feedback, it’s still facing errors and issues. The following are the errors and issues that players are experiencing along with their fixes and workarounds.

Crash On Startup, Crash Fix

Players are reporting that while Hunt Shodown has come out of the early access, the game still crashes for some at startup and for some randomly while playing the game.

Here is the fix for Hunt Showdown crash on startup. The reason for the game to crash at launch is probabaly your anti-virus or Windows Defender as it could be detecting the game’s exe file as a trojan virus.

You can fix crash at launch by either disabling your anti-virus software or making an exception for the game’s exe file in your anti-virus software.

For the random crashes, the culprit behind this might be Nvidia Geforce Experience. If you have enabled Geforce Experience Highlights then just disable it and just to be safe disable in-game overlay for Geforce Experience and these random crashes should disappear.

Fatal Error, D3D Device Lost Fix

For some players, Hunt Showdown crashes with a Fatal Error. This could be due to players using third-party monitoring software like MSI Afterburner.

Disable the third-party software and the Fatal Error should be resolved. If aren’t using any monitoring software but have enabled GeForce experience then try disabling that.

If the Hunt Showdown Fatal Error persists, then the issue might be the GPU driver. Try rolling back to an older Nvidia GPU driver (399.XX). This will resolve the fatal error for you.

Another reason for the Fatal Error or D3D Device Being Lost error could be the GPU itself. Either your GPU is old or the GPU is overclocked.

In case the GPU is overclocked or factory overclocked, revert the GPU back to its stock clock speed and the issue should resolve using MSI Afterburner.

If your GPU is old then using third-party overclocking software like MSI Afterburner, reduce the GPU’s clock speed by 100 MHz and see if that works for you.

Low FPS, Stuttering, Performance Fix

Performance is often an issue with a game developed using CryEngine and Hunt Showdown is apparently no exception.

If you are playing the game on at least a GTX 10 series GPU then there is a way to boost performance. However, for this to work, you need at least Intel Core i5 or its equivalent processor.

Open Nvidia Control Panel> Manage 3D Settings> Program Settings and select the game from the list. If the game isn’t in the game list then add it. Now go through the options and set Vertical Sync to “Fast” and apply these settings.

Start the game, and disable Vertical sync from the options. This will give you a potential FPS boost provided you have decent enough GPU and CPU. I have personally tried it on other Cry Engine games and it has worked wonders.

Note that for some games, Fast Vertical sync kicks in when vertical sync is enabled in-game and disabled for some. Using the Geforce Experience, you can track the FPS boost.

As for the Hunt Showdown stuttering fix, open Nvidia Control Panel> Manage 3D Settings> Program Settings and select the game from the list and make the following changes to eliminate stuttering.

Set “Power Management Mode” to “Prefer Maximum Performance”
Set “Texture Filtering- Quality” to “High Performance”

Easy Anti-Cheat Error

Players are reporting that when they start the game they get the “Easy anti-cheat error, Untrusted system file”. This error can pop up due to third-party software trying to mess with the game’s exe. If you are using any third-party monitory software like MSI Afterburner then disable it.

If the error persists then disable or uninstall any RGB lighting software if you have enabled RGB lighting in your system. This RGB software is the most likely culprit behind this easy anti-cheat error and should be resolved by disabling it.

There is another possible fix for the easy anti-cheat error. Go to your Steam library “Right-click > properties > Local files > browse local files > EasyAntiCheat > Delete Certificate folder. Profit”. Doing this will resolve the error.

Black Screen Fix

Players are experiencing black screen while they can hear the music in the background while trying to play Hunt Showdown.

To fix this, start the game and when the black screen appears, press “Alt + Enter” and the will go into Windowed mode and will start to display.

Now go to the in-game video settings and set the resolution to your display’s native resolution and you’ll be able to play the game in fullscreen without getting the black screen.

Error Code 1392 Fix

This is another Hunt Showdown error that PC players are experiencing. This particular error pops up due to a Windows file-system error.

To fix this run a full ChkDsk scan and after that check game file integrity through Steam. Now start the game and the issue should be resolved.

That is all for Hunt Showdown errors along with fixes for any crash, easy anti-cheat error, low FPS and more.

Control Crashing On Startup Fix, Visual C++ Install Fail, DX12 Crash, Black Screen, Disable Motion Blur, Game_rmdwin7_f.exe Not Responding Fix

Control has finally launched for PC and consoles. However, Control PC version is facing errors and issues like crashing on startup, Visual C++ Install failed, black screen and more. I have compiled a list of errors and issues with Control PC version along with their fixes and workarounds.

Control Crash, Low FPS, And Fixes

Control is the latest game from developer Remedy Entertainment. The game had quite a hype in the lead up to its launch and the developers haven’t disappointed.

The PC version of Control is a great port that gives players a lot of options to tweak. Devs have also implemented the DX12 but, it’s up to you if you want to use it.

Despite being an incredible port, the PC version of Control is facing errors and issues like crashing on startup, black screen, performance issues and more. The following are the errors and issues that players are experiencing along with their fixes and workarounds.

Install Failed Fix

Control PC players are reporting that they are getting the following error and are unable to play the game.

Install Failed. Error Code; IS-MF01-5-5

This issue is being caused by the anti-virus/Windows Security blocking the game. Disable the anti-virus and the issue will be fixed.

How To Disable Motion Blur

Control implements an aggressive form of motion blur, even on PC, and there is no way to disable it. You can disable Motion Blur but you’ll have to install a mod.

Download this Control mod and extract the files in the game’s folder. While in-game, just press “F4” and the motion blur will be disabled.

However, if you don’t want to install the mod, then go to the game’s install folder and open “d3dx.ini” and change “w2=1” to “w2=0” under Motion Blur.

game_rmdwin7_f.exe Is Not Responding Fix

Players are reporting that when they try to play Control, the screen goes black and “game_rmdwin7_f.exe is not responding” error pops up. The fix for this Control error is simple.

All you have to do is go to the game’s installation folder and delete the “render.ini” file. Start the game and the issue should be resolved.

Black Screen Fix

Black screen on launch is a common issue for PC games and Remedy’s Control is no exception. Players are reporting that when they start the game, the screen goes black but they can hear music in the background.

The fix for the Control Black Screen issue is simple. Start the game and when the black screen appears, press “Alt + Enter” and the game will go into Windowed mode and will start to display.

Now you just need to go the in-game video settings and change the resolution to your display’s native resolution and you’ll be able to play the game in fullscreen mode.

If you are experiencing a black screen issue but can’t hear the music in the background then the issue might be outdated GPU drivers. Update your GPU drivers and the issue should be resolved.

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Installation Failed Fix

This is one of the errors that players are experiencing while trying to play the game. According to players, when they start the game from Epic launcher it requires Visual C++ Redistributable installation regardless if it’s already installed or not. No matter what they choose they get the error “Visual C++ Redistributable Installation Failed”.

One way to resolve this is to install the latest Visual C++ Redistributable and then try to play the game. If the issue still persists then go to the game’s installation folder and play the game by double-clicking “Control_DX11.exe” and it will work.

Game Not Launching, Crash On Startup Fix

Players are reporting that Control won’t start as they launch the game and there are some players who are experiencing a crash on startup. Here are the fixes and workarounds for both of the problems.

As for the game not launching, some players are experiencing the “Visual C++ Redistributable Installation failed” error upon startup. Just go to the game’s installation folder and play the game through “Control_DX11.exe”.

If the game still not launching or crashing at startup, then follow the steps below.

Go the game’s install folder > create a new text document called “steam_appid” > open this file in notepad > type “870780”. Save and exit the notepad and then, launch the game directly from either Control_DX11.exe or Control_DX12.exe. The game will launch without crashing.

As for the Control crashing on startup, the issue might your anti-virus or Windows Defender as it might be detecting the game’s exe file as a trojan virus. You can resolve this by either disabling the anti-virus/Windows Security or excluding the game’s install folder from it. After that, verify game files and the issue will be fixed for good.

Another reason for the game crashing at launch could be outdated GPU drivers. Just update GPU drivers to the latest version and the issue should be resolved.

Game Crashing With DirectX 12 Enabled

Players are reporting that when they play Control with DX12 enabled, the game crashes without any error or warning. For now, the only fix is to run the Control with DirectX 11.

Control isn’t the only game that facies crashes with DirectX12 enabled. At the time of writing, the games aren’t properly optimized for DX12. So, if you are facing random crashes then disable DX12.

FPS Drops, Stuttering, Performance Fix

PC games are bound to have performance issues given the sheer amount of PC setups out there and Remedy Entertainment’s Control is no exception. Players are reporting low PFS and stuttering issues with the game.

First, make sure you are using the latest GPU drivers as they bring game-specific optimizations. Also, make sure that there is no background process that is using too much of your CPU and HDD.

Start the game and disable in-game v.sync and close the game. Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > select the game from the list and if it isn’t there then add it. Make the following changes to eliminate stuttering.

Anti-aliasing-FXAA – “Off”
Anti-aliasing-Gamma Correction – “Off”
CUDA GPUs – “All”
Low Latency Mode – depends on the player.
Set Power Management to “Prefer Maximum Performance”
Shader Cache – “On” only if you are using an HDD. Don’t need to enable it for an SSD.
Set Texture filtering – Quality to “High Performance”
Triple Buffering – “Off”
Set Vertical Syn to “On”

Apply these changes and the game’s Low FPS and stuttering issue will be fixed for good.

That is all for our Control fixes and workarounds for errors and issues like the crash on startup, game_rmdwin7_f.exe Is Not Responding, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Installation failed and more.
