Still, these prices are pretty high but then again these should be taken with a grain of salt as they are not officially from Asus. Asus has confirmed that it will showcase its X670E and X670 motherboards at Gamescom 2022, so we might learn more about pricing at the event.
The ROG Crosshair X670E GENE is the model that seems to stand out. Fans have wanted the GENE variant to make a comeback and it seems that Asus has been listening. This is most likely going to be a high-end MATX motherboard with all the bells and whistles but a bit smaller footprint.
Previously, we got listings for the upcoming AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs and if we add the price of these new X670E motherboards and DDR5 memory, it seems that upgrading to the new AM5 platform is going to be pretty expensive. AMD is expected to release mid-range CPUs and we should get B650 motherboards around the same time, so that should make things a bit less expensive.
